Florida businesses being recruited by

Good Business Colorado

February 18, 2020

Colorado boasts the country’s number one economy according to US News and World Report’s most recent rankings. With strong venture capital investment, a burgeoning tech scene, unbeatable year-round recreational opportunities and an inclusive business community, Colorado attracts innovators, entrepreneurs and top talent alike.

A key reason for Colorado’s success is its strong workplace protections – including for LGBTQ employers and employees – that make it easy to recruit and retain the diverse workforce that fosters an economy that is competitive in the global marketplace.

In Florida, unlike Colorado, LGBTQ business owners and workers don’t have comprehensive protections in employment, housing, and public accommodations.

Recognizing a good opportunity, Good Business Colorado is launching an ad campaign targeted at Florida businesspeople to encourage employers and employees alike to move to Colorado, a place eager for a competitive, diverse workforce. The business organization headquartered in Denver seeks to send a clear message: “Come to Colorado, where we welcome your companies, your talent, and your new graduates!”

Running in print and digital outlets across the state, ads read, “In Colorado, more than just our grass is protected; jobs are, too. We pride ourselves on our innovative businesses and the ability to be ourselves at work. Colorado knows that businesses need a diverse workforce to remain competitive in the global marketplace.”

With the best economy, strong anti-discrimination laws and an inclusive business environment,

Colorado is a great place for LGBTQ businesspeople and allies to do business.
