SUSIE WILES AND SARAH BASCOM have been named to roles in Republican Ron DeSantis’ gubernatorial election campaign. Wiles, who will serve as campaign chairman, is a partner at Ballard Partners, was a senior strategist for President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign in Florida and managed Gov. Rick Scott’s 2010 campaign. Bascom, who will work on campaign communications issues, is president of Bascom Communications & Consulting.

WILLIE MEGGS AND GARRETT RICHTER have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Commission on Ethics. Meggs, of Tallahassee. is a former state attorney in the 2nd Judicial Circuit. Richter, of Naples is president and chief executive officer of First Florida Integrity Bank and is a former state representative and senator.

WILLIAM KASTROLL has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Citizens Property Insurance Corp. Board of Governors. Kastroll, of Naples, is owner of Harbour Insurance, LLC.

ASHLEY COONE has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Gulf Coast University Board of Trustees. Coone, of Arcadia, is founder and president of ASC Consulting and Marketing.

PHILIP WARD has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Palm Beach State College Board of Trustees. Ward, of Jupiter, is managing partner and attorney at Ward Damon, Attorneys at Law.

CARIDAD LEE, ROBERT WOODY AND JEFFERY OODY have been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Santa Fe College Board of Trustees. Lee, of Alachua, is owner and president of Florida Blue Farms. Woody, of Gainesville, is director of youth services at the Gainesville Police Department. Oody, of Starke, is president and chief executive officer of Community State Bank.

BOBBIE LAKE, LISA MILLER, ALLISON FLANAGAN, CHERIE HALL AND CASSANDRA PASLEY have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Developmental Disabilities Council. Lake, of Live Oak, is former executive director of The Arc North Florida, Inc. Miller, of Lakeland, is a volunteer and advocate for persons with disabilities. Flanagan, of Tallahassee, is director of vocational rehabilitation for the Florida Department of Education. Hall, of Tallahassee, is chief financial officer of Disability Rights Florida. Pasley, of Tallahassee, is director of the Division or Children’s Medical Services for the Florida Department of Health. 

RICK WILSON has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Polk County Commission. Wilson, of Bartow, is a small-business owner.

DAVID STEWART AND REBECCA HAMILTON have been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the district medical examiners. Stewart, of Tallahassee, is chief medical examiner of District 2. Hamilton, of Alva, is chief medical examiner of District 21.

MARIA CARLA CHICUEN has been appointed to lead Florida International University’s CasaCuba initiative, which will include building a center to increase understanding of Cuban affairs and culture. Most recently, Chicuen led special projects in the Office of the President at Miami Dade College and previously was an education consultant at the World Bank in Washington D.C., and at the Inter-American Development Bank in Panama City, Panama.

KERRY MARSALEK AND MOHAMMAD CHOUDHRY have been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Department of Elder Affairs Advisory Council. Marsalek, of Clearwater, is manager of the Clearwater Office on Aging. Choudhry, of Leesburg, is a neurophysician.

TOD SCHWINGEL AND DEBORAH WOOD have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Highlands County Housing Authority. Schwingel, of Sebring, is senior minister at Sebring Christian Church. Wood, of Avon Park, is a resource teacher for the Highlands County School Board. 

PAUL SULLIVAN has been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Hernando County Housing Authority. Sullivan, of Hernando Beach, is a United States Air Force veteran and former Hernando County commissioner.

PATRICIA MCCOY, HEATHER HANCOCK AND WENDY COKER have been reappointed to the Children’s Services Council of Okeechobee County. McCoy, of Okeechobee, is an assistant superintendent with the Okeechobee County School Board. Hancock, of Okeechobee, is an employee relations officer at CenterState Bank. Coker, of Okeechobee, is director of exceptional student education with the Okeechobee County School Board.
