ASHLEY MOODY has been named to serve on the Executive Committee of the National Association of Attorneys General. Moody took office last week as Florida attorney general.

RYAN WEST, PETER PENROD, JAY ETHERIDGE, ANNA ALEXOPOULOS FARRAR, SCOTT FENNELL MEREDITH BROCK STANFIELD, PAIGE DAVIS, TOM ADAMS, JACK REID, KATIE STRICKLAND, DEVIN GALETTA, ROBERT TORNILLO AND BROCK JUAREZ have been named to state Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis’ leadership team. West will serve as chief of staff. Penrod will serve as general counsel. Etheridge will serve as deputy chief financial officer over law enforcement. Alexopoulos Farrar will serve as deputy chief financial officer over communications and external affairs. Fennell will serve as deputy chief financial officer over operations. Stanfield will serve as director of legislative and Cabinet affairs. Davis will serve as deputy chief of staff for internal affairs. Adams will serve as director of policy and strategic initiatives. Reid will serve as director of external affairs and open government. Strickland will serve as communications director. Galetta will serve as deputy communications director. Tornillo will serve as director of Cabinet affairs. Juarez will serve as deputy director of Cabinet affairs.

FRANCO RIPPLE, MAX FLUGRATH, KAREN SKYERS, RACHEL MORGAN GARLAND AND MATT GOTHA have been named by Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried to leadership roles in her administration. Ripple will serve as communications director. Flugrath will serve as press secretary. Skyers will serve as minority affairs director. Garland will serve as rural outreach director. Gotha will serve as Cabinet affairs director.

JOHN GUARD, RICHARD MARTIN, DAN OLSON, ERICA GEIGER, LAUREN SCHENONE AND WHITNEY RAY have been named by Attorney General Ashley Moody to leadership roles in her administration. Guard will serve as chief deputy attorney general. Martin will serve as general counsel. Olson will serve as governmental affairs director. Geiger will serve as director of special projects and initiatives. Schenone will serve as director of public affairs. Ray will serve as director of communications.

DENNIS LEMMA, DAVE ARONBERG, STEVE COLLINS, JAMES DICKS, RACHEL DOCEKAL, TOMMY FORD, ANDY GARDINER, STACY GROMATSKI, WILLIAM GULLIFORD, JULIE CHAIKIN HOGAN, SAMANTHA KOLB, AL LAMBERTI, SHANNON MACGILLIS, MARY OLSEN, DIONNE POLITE, TERESA RAWE, MARK RUBENSTEIN AND LAURIE SERRA have been named by Attorney General Ashley Moody to her Opioid Abuse Working Group. Lemma, who will chair the group, is sheriff of Seminole County. Aronberg is the state attorney in Palm Beach County. Collins is director of the Central Florida High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas program. Dicks is Florida chairman of the Department of Defense Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve program. Docekal previously served as CEO of Hanley Foundation. Ford is the sheriff of Bay County. Gardiner, a former Senate president, is senior vice president of external affairs and community relations with Orlando Health. Gromatski is president and CEO of the Florida Network of Youth and Family Services. Gulliford is a member of the Jacksonville City Council. Hogan is deputy statewide prosecutor for the Office of Statewide Prosecution. Kolb is the director of Addiction Center in Florida for Centerstone. Lamberti, a former Broward County sheriff, is the Florida law enforcement coordinator for the Regional Organized Crime Information Center. MacGillis is a special counsel to the Office of Statewide Prosecution within the Florida Attorney General’s Office. Olsen is the interim Delray Beach police chief. Polite is the manager for state operations in Florida for AARP. Rawe is the emergency department medical director of TeamHealth in Bradenton. Rubenstein is a pain management doctor in Jupiter. Serra is a co-founder of Narcotics Overdose Prevention Education (NOPE) of Pinellas County. 

MATT WILLHITE, TOMMY GREGORY AND ANTHONY SABATINI have been elected to the Coordinating Council of the legislative Veterans and Military Families Caucus. Willhite, who was re-elected caucus chairman, is a Democratic House member from Wellington. Gregory, who was elected vice-chairman, is a Republican House member from Sarasota. Sabatini, who was elected caucus clerk, is a Republican House member from Howey-in-the-Hills.

PATRICIA WILLIAMS, WENGAY NEWTON, CINDY POLO AND JENNIFER WEBB have been named by House Democratic Whip Ramon Alexander, D-Tallahassee, as deputy whips. Williams, D-Lauderdale Lakes, represents House District 92. Newton, D-St. Petersburg, represents House District 70. Polo, D-Miramar, represents House District 103. Webb, D-Gulfport, represents House District 69.

ANDERS CROY has been named communications director for Senate Victory, which works to elect Democrats to the Florida Senate. Croy’s past positions have included serving as communications director for attorney-general candidate Sean Shaw in 2018.

NICHOLAS B. COX has been named by Attorney General Ashley Moody to continue serving as statewide prosecutor. Cox has been an attorney with the Attorney General’s Office since 2005 and has served as statewide prosecutor since January 2011. 

DONALD FILLIPPS has been named by WellCare Health Plans as medical director for the company’s Florida Children’s Medical Services Health Plan contract. Fillipps, a pediatrician, most recently served as an associate professor at the University of Florida's School of Medicine.
