RON BERGERON has been appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis to the South Florida Water Management District Governing Board. Bergeron is founder and CEO of the Bergeron Family of Companies.

MEREDITH CHARBULA has been appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis as a judge in the 4th Judicial Circuit, which is made up of Duval, Clay and Nassau counties. Charbula has served as a Duval County judge.

ASHLEY MOODY has been appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis to chair the Statewide Task Force on Opioid Drug Abuse. Moody is the Florida attorney general.

LYNDA L. WEATHERMAN AND ANGELA DRZEWIECKI have been appointed by Senate President Bill Galvano to the board of the non-profit Veterans Florida. Weatherman is president and CEO of the Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast. Drzewiecki is a consultant at the government-affairs firm Peebles, Smith & Matthews.

DESMOND MEADE AND JAMES CHAN have been chosen for awards by the Bob Graham Center at the University of Florida. Meade, who was chosen as Citizen of the Year, led efforts to pass a constitutional amendment in November to restore felons’ voting rights. Chan, who was chosen for the Young Floridian award, is Florida director of the State Innovation Exchange, or SiX.

TOM FEENEY has been appointed to the Enterprise Florida Board of Directors. Feeney is president and CEO of Associated Industries of Florida and is a former state House speaker and U.S. representative.

RAOUL CANTERO has been received the Thomas A. Horkan, Jr. Distinguished Catholic Leader Award from the Florida Conference of Catholic Bishops. Cantero, a partner at the White & Case law firm in Miami, is a former Florida Supreme Court justice.

MATT HARRINGER has been named national press secretary for the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee in Washington, D.C.  Harringer previously served as communications director for former U.S. Rep. Gwen Graham, D-Fla.

EUGENE LAMB JR. has been reappointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis to the Tallahassee Community College Board of Trustees. Lamb, of Midway, is a retired teacher who taught in Leon, Gadsden and Volusia counties.

JAY MADARA has been reappointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis to the Central Florida Expressway Authority. Madara, of Windermere, is chief financial officer of the Golf Channel.

MICHAEL ROBERTS will serve as senior vice president of government relations in Washington, D.C., for Jacksonville-based Crowley Maritime Corp. Roberts most recently has worked as the company’s senior vice president and general counsel.
