KRISTIN JACOBS has been hired as national director of leadership development for the National Institute for Coastal & Harbor Infrastructure. Jacobs, D-Coconut Creek, represents District 96 in the Florida House.

JOSE ARMAS, CASSANDRA PASLEY, PETER CLAUSSEN AND ELIZABETH KIDDER have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Healthy Kids Corp. Board of Directors. Armas, of Coral Gables, is a physician for MCCI. Pasley, of Tallahassee, is director of children's medical services for the Florida Department of Health. Claussen, of Panama City, is a self employed pediatric dentist. Kidder, of Tallahassee, is assistant deputy secretary for Medicaid policy and quality for the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration.

SANDRA SCHWEMMER AND JOEL ROSE have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Osteopathic Medicine. Schwemmer, of Boca Raton, is the medical director of the Healthcare District of Palm Beach County Trauma Agency. Rose, of Tampa, is an osteopathic physician with Physicians Group.

ANNA MARIA HUBBARD AND ELIZABETH WEBSTER have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Nursing. Hubbard, of Port St. Lucie, is associate dean of nursing at Indian River State College. Webster, of Weston, is director of health services for Humana.

GARY DOLIN, NABIL EL SANADI, JAMES ORR AND ZACHARIAH ZACHARIAH have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Medicine. Dolin, of Bradenton, is an ophthalmologist with The Eye Depot. El Sanadi, of Fort Lauderdale, is chief executive officer of Broward Health. Orr, of Bonita Springs, is a gynecologic oncologist with 21st Century Oncology. Zachariah, of Sea Ranch Lakes, is a cardiologist.

CARL SPEAR has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Optometry. Spear, of Pensacola, is a self employed optometrist.

HENRY "PAUL" SENFT, MICHAEL MORAN AND RANDALL MAGGARD have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Southwest Florida Water Management District. Senft, of Haines City, is president of Townsend-Senft Consulting and Insurance Inc. Moran, of Sarasota, is owner of Blue Water Insurance Group. Maggard, of Zephyrhills, is vice president of Sonny's Discount Appliances Inc.

CLARKE HARLOW, FREDERICK "RICK" BARBER AND JAMES "JIM" MORAN have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the South Florida Water Management District. Harlow, of Fort Lauderdale, is president of Harlow Asset Management and Southeast Landscape Management Company LLC. Barber, of Bonita Springs, is the chief executive officer of Agnoli, Barber, and Brundage Inc. Moran, of Wellington, is an attorney and partner with Reed, Griffith, and Moran.

CHARLES "CHUCK" DRAKE AND FREDERICK "FRED" ROBERTS JR. have been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the St. Johns River Water Management District. Drake, of Orlando, is the vice president and a hydrogeologist with Tetra Tech Inc. Roberts, of Ocala, is an attorney with Klein and Klein LLC.

KEVIN BROWN has been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Suwannee River Water Management District. Brown, of Alachua, is owner of Creekside Appraisals.

JOHN ALTER, ANGUS "GUS" ANDREWS AND NICHOLAS “NICK” PATRONIS have been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Northwest Florida Water Management District. Alter, of Malone, is a manager with Alter-Bevis Farms LLC. Andrews, of DeFuniak Springs, is the owner of Andrews Companies, Andrews & Arnsdoff Realty and Southern Beach Management. Patronis, of Panama City Beach, is owner of Captain Anderson's.

BRIAN SMITH has been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Greenways & Trails Council. Smith, of Ozona, is a former planning director for Pinellas County.

LYNDA BELL has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Communities Trust. Bell, of Homestead, is a former Miami-Dade County commissioner.

DON DONALDSON, LYNETTE SELF, THOMAS "SPENCER" CROWLEY, CHARLES ISIMINGER, JONATHAN NETTS AND JERRY SANSOM have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Inland Navigation District. Donaldson, of Fort Pierce, is engineering department director for Martin County. Self, of Jacksonville, is president and owner of Rose of Sharon Florist. Crowley, of Miami, is an attorney and partner with Akerman LLP. Isiminger, of North Palm Beach, is a professional engineer with Isiminger & Stubbs Engineering Inc. Netts, of Palm Coast, is a captain with Orion Tow and Salvage. Sansom, of Rockledge, is executive director of the Organized Fisherman of Florida.

PATRICK DAWSON AND KEVIN LACZ have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Pensacola State College District Board of Trustees. Dawson, of Milton, is general manager of G4S Secure Solutions (USA) Inc Pensacola. Lacz, of Gulf Breeze, is a physician assistant for Regenesis LLC.

WILLIAM PHELAN, SCOTT LIPMAN AND CHRISTINE HANKERSON have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Nursing Home Administrators. Phelan, of Tallahassee, is chairman of Elder Care Services and a former executive director of the Florida Health Care Association. Lipman, of Boca Raton, is a nursing home administrator and chief operating officer at the Marrinson Group Inc. Hankerson, of Wesley Chapel, is a registered nurse and director of learning with Opis Management Resources.

PATRICK PABIAN has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Physical Therapy Practice. Pabian, of Orlando, is an associate professor and program director at the University of Central Florida Department of Health Professions and a physical therapist with the Orlando Sports Medicine Group.

KARI RIDDLE has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Athletic Training. Riddle, of Plantation, is an athletic trainer with the University of Miami Hospital.

JOSEPH FREY, RUBEN COLON AND ROBERTO GARCIA have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Respiratory Care. Frey, of Longwood, is a program director for the Concorde Career Institute. Colon, of Deltona, is a respiratory therapist with Florida Hospital Fish Memorial. Garcia, of Miami Lakes, is a respiratory therapist with Kindred Healthcare.

KATHY VEON, STEVE MOREAU, MICHELLE SIMMONS BROWN AND HERMAN VEGA have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Acupuncture. Veon, of Longwood, is a doctor of oriental medicine with Central Florida Preventive Medicine. Moreau, of Lake Mary, is an acupuncturist with the Center of Wellness and a teacher at Florida College of Integrative Medicine. Brown, of Estero, is an acupuncture physician with Alternative Natural Healthcare LLC. Vega, of Miami Lakes, is the clinical director for Total Rehab Services.

PAUL WILFORD AND JOHN GIRDLER have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scot to the Board of Opticianry. Wilford, of Tallahassee, is an optician with the Tallahassee Eye Center. Girdler, of Tallahassee, is an optician with Luxottica, Sears Optical.

MELISSA CONORD-MORROW, STEPHANIE WOMBLES AND CHARLIE YOUNG have been appointed by Surgeon General John Armstrong to the Council of Licensed Midwifery. Conord-Morrow, of Lakeland is a midwife with Celebrate Birth Midwifery, Inc. Wombles, of Panama City, works as a midwife at All About Women. Young, of Tampa, is a midwife with Barefoot Birth.

KRISTINE BENSON has been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Advisory Council for the Department of Health Website Information Clearinghouse on Developmental Disabilities. Benson, of Clearwater, is a technical writer with Booz, Allen, and Hamilton.

MIKE HEITHAUS has been appointed dean of the Florida International University College of Arts & Sciences. Heithaus has served as interim dean since July 2014.

BRUNO BASTOS AND WILLIAM FRIEDMAN have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Center for Brain Tumor Research Scientific Advisory Council. Bastos, of Miami Beach, is a physician with Cleveland Clinic. Friedman, of Gainesville, is a professor and the chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine.

SCOT LAFERTE, MARCY BENTON, LESLIE "LES" GOLDMAN AND BRIDGET PALLANGO have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Endowment Foundation for Vocational Rehabilitation (Able Trust). Laferte, of Windermere, is vice president of talent and administration at Universal Orlando. Benton, 46, of Lakeland, is director of retail associate relations for Publix Supermarkets Inc. Goldman, of Tampa, is a product manager for Verizon. Pallango, of Miami, is a senior vice president of Goodwill Industries.

THOMAS DESIMONE, FERDINAND HEEB AND HAROLD SMOTHERS have been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Southeast Volusia Hospital District. DeSimone, of New Smyrna Beach, is a project architect with RLF Architecture. Heeb, of Edgewater, is a retired certified public accountant. Smothers, of Oak Hill, is a contractor with STE Electric Systems.

BRAD SWEZEY has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Cape Canaveral Hospital District. Swezey, of Cocoa Beach, is president of The GOAL People Inc.

JAMES D. WATERS has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Early Learning Coalition of Osceola County. Waters, of St. Cloud, is a retired vice president of information services with Universal Orlando Resort Theme Park.

CRAIG S. PHILLIPS has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County. Phillips, of Largo, is chief executive officer and managing partner of Client First Advisory Group.

KERRY WALDRON has been named administrator for the Florida Department of Health in Suwannee and Lafayette counties. Waldron's previous positions included Live Oak city manager.

JEFFREY WALLIS AND ALLAN E. BARTELL have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Citrus County Hospital Board. Wallis, of Crystal River, is a physician with Advanced Gastroenterology. Bartell, 74, of Inverness, is a retired Realtor.

CECIL DAVIS has been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Hamilton County Memorial Hospital Board. Davis, of Jasper, is a substitute teacher.
