DALE CASSIDY has been named vice president for finance and administration at Florida A&M University. Cassidy has most recently served as vice president of business affairs at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin.

JEN GAVIRIA has joined the Capital City Consulting lobbying and public-affairs firm. Gaviria previously served as a legislative aide to Sen. Anitere Flores, R-Miami, and most recently worked as a consultant for Flores' 2016 re-election campaign.

TIM KOENIG has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as a judge in the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit, which includes Monroe County. Koenig, of Key West, has served as the magistrate judge for the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit and maintained a civil practice with Koenig, Highsmith & Van Loon, P.A.

CINDY DICK has been appointed division director for emergency preparedness and community support at the Florida Department of Health. Dick served as Tallahassee fire chief from 2005 to 2013, after holding a series of other positions with the fire department.

ANNE PATTERSON AND GARRY LUBI have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Daytona State College District Board of Trustees. Patterson, of DeLand, is president of Mainly Math Inc. Lubi, of Palm Coast, is senior vice president of Ameris Bank.

TIMOTHY MCCAUSLAND, MARK MILLER AND EDWARD BLAKE PAUL have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Tenth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission, which includes Hardee, Highlands and Polk counties. McCausland, of Bartow, is the city attorney for Lakeland. Miller, of Lakeland, is a shareholder with GrayRobinson PA. Paul, of Lakeland, is an attorney with Peterson Myers PA.

JEFFREY CARTER ANDERSEN, DOROTHY DIFIORE AND THOMAS NEWCOMB HYDE have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Thirteenth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission, which includes Hillsborough County. Andersen, of Tampa, is a shareholder with Bush Ross PA. DiFiore, of Tampa, is a partner with Hass Lewis DiFiore. Hyde, of Tampa, is a self employed attorney.

CARL CODDINGTON, JOHN GAUTREAUX, EUSEF "BEN" MALIK, DONALD NIEMANN, JR., WALTER ROSE, HAROLD SHEFFIELD, GREGORY SIMMONS, JANE VESTER, SCOTT WIDERMAN, JOHN ANDERSON, RUSSELL FISCHER AND JUDITH GEORGE have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Cape Canaveral Hospital District. Coddington, of Cocoa Beach, is an agent emeritus with Prudential Insurance. Gautreaux, of Cocoa Beach, is the president of Gautreaux Consultants. Malik, of Cocoa Beach, is vice president of the Florida Bank of Commerce. Niemann, of Cocoa Beach, is director of merchandise buying for Ron Jon Surf Shop. Rose, of Cocoa Beach, is a retired attorney. Sheffield, of Cocoa Beach, is unit manager of oversight and assessment and the United Kingdom Liaison of L3 Interstate Electronics Corp. Simmons, of Cocoa Beach, is a cardiothoracic surgeon at Health First. Vester, of Cocoa Beach, is owner of Space Coast Dine Around & More. Widerman, of Cocoa Beach, is an attorney with Zies Widerman & Malek. Anderson, of Cocoa Beach, is a retired certified nurse anesthetist and advanced registered nurse practitioner. Fischer, of Cocoa Beach, is owner of Rusty’s Seafood & Oyster Bar. George, of Cocoa Beach, is a retired nurse.
