Yablonski to lead Fish and Wildlife Commission

BY THE NEWS SERVICE OF FLORIDA

Brian Yablonski, a Gulf Power executive who served as a deputy chief of staff to former Gov. Jeb Bush, was named Thursday as chairman of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Yablonski, director of external affairs for the Pensacola-based utility, has served on the commission since 2004 and most recently has been vice-chairman. He replaces Richard Corbett as chairman of the commission, which has drawn heavy attention recently because of issues such as a plan to allow bear hunting this fall.
