THE CAPITAL, TALLAHASSEE, MAY 13, 2016…. As Gov. Rick Scott continues his non-stop pitch for jobs, the state will release April unemployment numbers during the coming week. Also, with the citrus industry suffering from a deadly disease known as "citrus greening," the Florida Citrus Commission will meet in Polk County and consider proposed budget cuts.

LOBBYIST DISCLOSURES DUE: Lobbyists are required to meet a Sunday night deadline for filing reports detailing their compensation during the first quarter of the year.

PAROLE OFFICIALS GATHER IN VOLUSIA: The Florida Commission on Offender Review will host a training conference of the Association of Paroling Authorities International.
