Special Session to start Aug. 10

House and Senate leaders on Monday called a special legislative session starting Aug. 10 to redraw congressional districts. The session, slated to last until Aug. 21, was called after the Florida Supreme Court this month ordered lawmakers to redraw eight congressional districts. The Supreme Court ruled that the districts violated an anti-gerrymandering constitutional amendment approved by voters in 2010.
