Scott ready to tout priorities on bus tour

BY THE NEWS SERVICE OF FLORIDA

Fresh off his State of the State address, Gov. Rick Scott on Wednesday will start a bus tour to try to build support for his proposals to cut taxes and spend $250 million on economic-development incentives.

Scott will start the tour at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Victory Tailgate in Orlando, followed by a 1 p.m. appearance at USAA in Tampa and a 7 p.m. appearance at Rick Case Kia in Sunrise, according to the governor's office.

Also this week, the tour is expected to go to Boca Raton, Rockledge, Green Cove Springs, The Villages, Sarasota and Bonita Springs. Scott used Tuesday's State of the State address to urge lawmakers to approve his proposed $1 billion tax-cut package and to revamp economic-development incentives.
