Scott committee nears $4M for the year

BY THE NEWS SERVICE OF FLORIDA

The "Let's Get to Work" political committee raised $116,300 during November as it continued piling up cash to back Gov. Rick Scott's political agenda. The committee, which has played a key part in Scott's political success, had raised nearly $3.99 million this year as of the end of November, according to a finance report posted Wednesday on the state Division of Elections website. It also spent $32,809 in November and had spent about $3 million in 2015. Though Scott is not on the 2016 ballot, the committee has spent money this year on such things as advertising. Throughout the year, it has received large chunks of cash, though none of its contributions in November topped $10,000, according to the report.
