15,000. U.S. Senator Bill Nelson recently introduced legislation to cut the number of H-1B visas available by 15,000. Nelson became involved with the issue earlier this year, after it was reported that recently-laid off Walt Disney World employees had been replaced by foreign workers using the H-1B visa program.
