Rich Brings in $50K in May

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Nan Rich and a closely aligned political committee raised about $50,000 in May, as she continued to bring in far less money than Democratic opponent Charlie Crist and Republican Gov. Rick Scott. Rich collected $29,853 in cash last month for her campaign account, bringing the overall total to $378,658, according to newly filed records. Rich, a former Senate minority leader from Weston, also reported an overall total of $245,240 in in-kind contributions, with the Florida Democratic Party helping cover expenses such as staffing. The political committee, Citizens for a Progressive Florida, reported raising $20,000 in May, giving it an overall total of $112,815.
