MICHELLE ANCHORS has been elected chair of the Florida Commission on Ethics. Anchors, of Fort Walton Beach, is a founding partner of Keefe, Anchors & Gordon, P.A.

JENNIFER GABBARD has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as a judge in the 13th Judicial Circuit. Gabbard, of Tampa, is a Hillsborough County judge.

JAMIE RUTLAND GROSSHANS has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as an Orange County judge. Grosshans, of Winter Garden, is a solo practitioner for Plant Street Law and previously served as an assistant state attorney in the 9th Judicial Circuit.

KRISTINE VAN VORST has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as an Alachua County judge. Van Vorst, of Gainesville, is a general magistrate and judicial hearing officer in the 8th Judicial Circuit.

WALTER J. HAVERS JR. AND JEFFREY IRA JACOBS have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as judges of compensation claims in the Miami district. Havers, of Miami, has served as a state mediator for the Miami district since 2013. Jacobs, of Miami, is an attorney with Malca and Jacobs, PA.

DEVON NUNNELEY has joined the Lockwood Law Firm. Nunneley most recently practiced law at two firms in Washington, D.C.

LIZBETH BENACQUISTO will serve on the executive committee of the Republican Legislative Campaign Committee. Benacquisto, R-Fort Myers, is chairwoman of the Rules Committee in the Florida Senate.

MIKE GRIFFIN has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Tampa Port Authority. Griffin, of Tampa, is senior managing director of Savills Studley Occupier Services.

PETER BUTLER has been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Technology Advisory Council. Butler, of Tallahassee, is director of the technology sector for National Strategies, LLC.

CASEY REED has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the E911 Board. Reed, of Tallahassee, is Florida state director of legislative affairs at AT&T. 

JERRY HAAG, RICHARD ALBERTSON, GRETCHEN KERR, PATRICIA SMITH, J. SCOTT GEORGE AND ROSBY GLOVER have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Faith-Based and Community-Based Advisory Council. Haag, of Lakeland, is president and chief executive officer of Florida Baptist Children's Homes, Orphan's Heart and The Porch Light. Albertson, of Tallahassee, is founding president of Live the Life Ministries. Kerr, of The Villages, is executive director of the care center at Northland Church. Smith, of Tallahassee, is community relations director for the Department of Children and Families. George, of Maitland, is development director of Orlando Hope and founder of United Against Poverty. Glover, of Lake Worth, is executive director of Mount Bethel Human Services.

PAMELA VOWELS has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the DeSoto County Hospital Board. Vowels, of Arcadia, is the owner of Vowels, Inc.-McDonalds.

KEITH WILLIAMS has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Jackson County Hospital District. Williams, of Marianna, is owner of Keith Williams State Farm Agency.

HOWARD PHILLIPS has been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Madison County Health and Hospital Board. Phillips, of Madison, is chief financial officer of Madison County Community Bank.
