PATRICIA FROST, TIM CERIO, NED LAUTENBACH, ZACH ZACHARIAH AND JAY PATEL have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the state university system Board of Governors. Frost is a retired Miami-Dade County school principal. Cerio is a Tallahassee attorney. Lautenbach, is chairman of the independent trustees of the Equity and High-Income Fund of Fidelity Investments. Zachariah, is an internal medicine and cardiology physician and serves as medical director of UHealth Cardiology at the University of Miami Health Systems in Fort Lauderdale. Patel, is chief executive officer of LHS Companies.

FRANK TERRAFERMA has been named executive director of the Republican Party of Idaho. Terraferma most recently has worked as a senior strategist with the Tallahassee firm Front Line Strategies.

ERICA CHANTI has joined The Rubin Group governmental-affairs firm. Chanti, who will head the firm's Miami office, most recently has served as executive director of the Miami-Dade County legislative delegation.

RICK MATTHEWS, WILLIAM JOHNSON, ELISHA GONZALEZ BONNEWITZ, ROSE CONRY, TIM CENTER, STEPHANIE SMITH, CAMILLE LEE-JOHNSON AND TONY MCGEE have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the CareerSource Florida Board of Directors. Matthews, of Viera, is vice president of global operations of Northrop Grumman Systems Corp. Johnson, of Tampa, is a former vice president of finance shared services at Coca-Cola Refreshments. Bonnewitz, of Winter Park, is government and community relations manager for Duke Energy. Conry, of Jacksonville, is CEO of Stafftime. Center, of Tallahassee, is founder of Centerfield Strategy and CEO of Capital Area Community Action Agency. Smith, of Miami, is senior public policy manager at Uber Technologies. Lee-Johnson, of Atlantic Beach, is chief operating officer at Lee Wesley and Associates. McGee, of Orlando, is CEO of HNM Global Logistics.

KERRY PELUSO has been named assistant vice president for research administration and finance at Florida State University. Peluso currently serves as associate vice president for research administration at Emory University.

KATHRYN WHITSON, FRAN PASCHALL, DERRICK GLYMPH, LISA RENEE JOHNSON, DIANE JOHNSON AND HEATHER BAUMWALD have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Nursing. Whitson, of Jacksonville, is a nursing education specialist for the Mayo Clinic. Paschall, of Fort Lauderdale, is the chief nurse executive for the East Florida Division of HCA. Glymph, of Pembroke Pines, is a clinical assistant professor at Florida International University. Lisa Renee Johnson, of Fort Myers, is a nurse educator at Rasmussen College. Diane Johnson, of St. Augustine, is a university department chair at Keiser University. Baumwald, of Fort Lauderdale, is a cardiology sales specialist for Zoll Medical.

NICHOLAS KAVOUKLIS, CATHERINE CABANZON AND FABIO A. ANDRADE have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Dentistry. Kavouklis, of Tampa, is president and chief executive officer of Argus Dental & Vision, Inc. Cabanzon, of West Palm Beach, is a dental hygienist at Advanced Dentistry South Florida. Andrade, of Weston, is managing director for FAAC Consulting, LLC.

BETSY DOBBINS, STEVE HOPE AND BRENNAN ABRAMOWITZ have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention State Advisory Group. Dobbins, of Jacksonville, is an assistant public defender. Hope, of Miami, is deputy chief executive officer and chief financial officer of Miami Bridge Youth and Family Services Inc. Abramowitz, of Tallahassee, is a court-appointed guardian ad litem. 

KAREN TAPPIN has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Family Care Council, Area 15. Tappin, of Vero Beach, is an advocate for persons with disabilities.

VICTOR J. RAYMOS has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the St. Augustine-St. Johns County Airport Authority. Raymos, of St. Augustine, is association executive and chief executive officer of the St. Augustine-St. Johns County Board of Realtors.
