NICOLE STOOKEY ALBERS has been named public affairs manager of the Florida Municipal Electric Association. Albers most recently has served as deputy director of the Office of Legislative Planning at the Florida Department of Health.

ANDREW MARCUS has joined the Tallahassee office of Holland & Knight. Marcus most recently was a co-partner in the firm Marcus & Manning, P.A. and previously was a senior attorney and deputy director with the state Office of Insurance Regulation.

IVONNE CUESTA AND LAURA ANN STUZIN have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as judges in the 11th Judicial Circuit. Cuesta has served as a Miami-Dade County judge since 2012. Stuzin has served as a Miami-Dade County judge since 2015.

MEREDITH CHARBULA has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as a Duval County judge. Charbula, of Jacksonville, is director of the legal division for the Office of the State Attorney in the 4th Judicial Circuit.

COURTNEY WHITNEY has been hired as finance director of All About Florida PAC. Whitney has most recently served as finance director for U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., and as a finance consultant at the Democratic National Committee.

JOE GARCIA has joined the public-strategy firm Mercury. Garcia is a former Democratic congressman from Miami-Dade County.

ROBERT ASENCIO has been named chairman of the Puerto Rico/Caribbean Hurricane Relief and Transition Committee of the Miami-Dade County legislative delegation. Asencio, a Miami Democrat, represents District 118 in the Florida House.

ARTHUR “CHIP” DIEHL III has been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Hillsborough Community College Board of Trustees. Diehl, of Tampa, is managing director of Diehl and Associates and is a retired brigadier general with the United States Air Force.

BOB DAVIS AND MARY ANN HAAS have been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Daytona State College Board of Trustees. Davis, of Port Orange, is president of the Halifax Lodging & Hospitality Association. Haas, of Flagler Beach, is a retired district curriculum director for the Flagler County School District.

KELLEY SASSO has been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Deferred Compensation Advisory Council. Sasso, of Tallahassee, is the finance and accounting director for the Executive Office of the Governor.
 
JACK JOHNSON JR. AND MONICA VILLA have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Immokalee Water and Sewer District. Johnson, of Immokalee, is owner of Jack and Ann's Feed & Supply, Inc. Villa, of Immokalee, is a property manager at Barron Collier Companies.
