CAROLINE ROWLAND has been named communications director of the Florida Democratic Party. Rowland is a former television journalist who also has worked for U.S. Rep. Val Demings, D-Fla.

MANDY HAMBLETON AND COURTNEY MCHENRY have been hired by Florida State University for Title IX leadership positions. Hambleton, who will serve as Title IX director, most recently worked as assistant vice president for student advocacy, intervention, and accountability at Wichita State University. McHenry, who will serve as senior Title IX investigator, previously served as a Title IX/civil rights investigator at West Virginia University. 

EUAL TYLER CATHEY has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 2nd District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission. Cathey, of Tampa, is chief operating officer and general counsel for Franklin Street. 

JENNIFER SHOAF RICHARDSON has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 4th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Richardson, of Jacksonville, is an attorney with Jackson Lewis P.C.

TARA L. TEDROW has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 9th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Tedrow, of Winter Park, is an attorney with Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed, P.A.

LYDIA ZBRZEZNJ has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 10th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Zbrzeznj, of Bartow, is an attorney with Frost Van den Boom, P.A.

RICHARD MCCHESNEY, MICHAEL PUTO AND GEORGE WALLACE have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 16th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. McChesney, of Key West, is an attorney with Spottswood, Spottswood, Spottswood & Sterling. Puto, of Marathon, is a former city manager for the city of Marathon. Wallace, of Key West, is an assistant city attorney for the city of Key West. 

CHRISTINA SANABRIA has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 17th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Sanabria, of Coral Springs, is an attorney with Sanabria, Llorente, Marsh & Associates.

MATT WILLHITE AND DANNY BURGESS have been elected to lead the Legislature’s Veterans and Military Families Caucus, Willhite, D-Wellington, will serve as caucus chairman. Burgess, R-Zephyrhills, will serve as caucus vice-chairman.

JAY TRUMBULL has been appointed by House Speaker Richard Corcoran, R-Land O’ Lakes, as a member of the Boating Advisory Council and as a deputy member of the Southern States Energy Board. Trumbull, R-Panama City represents District 6 in the Florida House.

MELISSA JOINER RAMBA has been named as a trustee for Florida House on Capitol Hill. Ramba is vice president of government affairs for the Florida Retail Federation.
