MIKE WILLIAMS AND ANDREW SPAR have been re-elected to top positions at the Florida AFL-CIO. Williams, of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, was re-elected president of the AFL-CIO. Spar, president of Volusia United Educators, was re-elected as secretary-treasurer.

GERARD JOSEPH CURLEY JR. AND JAMES NUTT have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as judges in the 15th Judicial Circuit. Curley, of West Palm Beach, is a shareholder at the Gunster law firm. Nutt, of Palm Beach Gardens, serves as Litigation Practice Group Leader for the South Florida Water Management District's Office of General Counsel.

GEORGIA ACKERMAN has been named executive director of Apalachicola Riverkeeper. Ackerman is a former owner of an ecotourism business.

KALYNN COOK has been named vice president of EDGE Communications, a Democratic political and public-affairs consulting firm. Cook has most recently worked as the firm's senior campaigns director.

JULIE HUNT AND PAUL LICATA have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Chiropractic Medicine. Hunt, of Crystal Beach, is a doctor of chiropractic medicine at Mayer Chiropractic. Licata, of Boynton Beach, is owner of Triton Property Management. 

ARMANDO IBARRA has been sworn in as president of the Miami Young Republicans. Ibarra is president of Ai Advisory, a government relations and public affairs firm.

STEVE MILLAWAY, DONALD CRISP, DAVID WARRINER AND ELIZABETH KIRVIN have been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Gulf Coast State College Board of Trustees. Millaway, of Panama City Beach, is founder and managing director of TechFarms Capital and the CEO of TechFarms, LLC. Crisp, of Panama City Beach, is a retired vice president of First American Title Insurance. Warriner, of Port St. Joe, is owner of Warriner-Tapper Investments. Kirvin, of Apalachicola, is assistant principal of Apalachicola Bay Charter School.

ROBERT HASE AND ROBERT LEONARD have been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Veterinary Medicine. Hase, of New Port Richey, is medical director at Bayonet Point Animal Clinic. Leonard, of New Smyrna Beach, is owner of Coronado Animal Clinic.

PAUL WHITFIELD, VERONICA WOLD AND MONICA SMITH have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Barbers' Board. Whitfield, of Pensacola, is an instructor at Pensacola State College. Wold, of Crawfordville, is a government operations consultant for the Department of Corrections. Smith, of Palmetto Bay, is a content strategist with Florida International University.

MICHAEL KULICH, RICHARD CONANT, MICHAEL KROLL, PHILLIP SMITH AND JOSEPH DELATE have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Landscape Architecture. Kulich, of Orlando, is a global director for Atos. Conant, of Orlando, is president of Foster Conant & Associates, Inc. Kroll, of Weston, is president of Miller Legg. Smith, of Sarasota, is owner of David W. Johnston Associates, Inc. Delate, of Marco Island, is principal project manager for Collier County Transportation Engineering.

CHANDRA HOSLER, ANDREA CICHON AND TIFFANY BELL have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Hillsborough County Civil Service Board. Hosler, of Tampa, is a staff counsel at Geico of Tampa. Cichon, of Tampa, is a human resources manager at Tampa General Hospital. Bell, of Tampa, is a force management facilities chief with the Department of Defense.
