KEVIN LYSTAD has been installed as president of the Florida Police Chiefs Association. Lystad, who will serve for the 2017-2018 term, is chief of the Miami Shores Police Department.

FREDERICK ASCHAUER is joining the law firm Lewis, Longman & Walker, P.A. Aschauer previously served as general counsel for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and served as the department's director of the Division of Water Resource Management.

KEN KAHN has been appointed by Senate President Joe Negron to the Enterprise Florida Board of Directors. Kahn, of Palm Beach Gardens, is president of LRP Publications.

SIMONE MARSTILLER has joined the Gunster law firm. Marstiller is a former judge on the state's 1st District Court of Appeal.

TERE BLANCA, DAVID FAULKENBERRY, CATHY ROTH, BYRON RUSSELL AND LYNNE WINES have been appointed by Florida Supreme Court Chief Justice Jorge Labarga to the Council of Business Partners, which will advise the Commission on Access to Civil Justice. Blanca is president and CEO of Blanca Commercial Real Estate. Faulkenberry is president of FBMC Benefits Management, Inc. Roth is senior vice president of legal affairs and general counsel for Universal Parks & Resorts. Russell is chair and CEO of Cheney Brothers, Inc. Wines is an advanced leadership fellow at Harvard University.

MICHELLE MENDEZ has been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Osteopathic Medicine. Mendez, of Jacksonville, is a physician and owner of Mendez Family Care.

MARK LEENAY has been named senior vice president and chief medical officer of WellCare Health Plans. Leenay, a physician, joined WellCare in August 2016 as chief medical director-care model. 

MARK WILLIAMS AND TINA PIKE have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida State Boxing Commission. Williams, of Lynn Haven, is president of Mark M. Williams, M.D., P.A. Pike, of Plant City, is a home-school teacher.

KAY TASSO has been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Physical Therapy Practice. Tasso, of Ponte Vedra Beach, is a physical therapist at Coastal Therapy.

GERALD JOWERS AND WARD BRITT have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the West Orange Healthcare District. Jowers, of Winter Garden, is president of G.J. Batteries, Inc. & U.S. Lead, Inc. Britt, of Windermere, is retired.
