RICHARD WATSON has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as Franklin County tax collector. Watson, of St. George Island, owns and operates Richard Watson, LLC and is a Realtor with Century 21 Collins Realty Inc. 

CYNTHIA HEFREN has been named chief financial officer of Visit Florida. Hefren most recently served as assistant state audit supervisor for the North Carolina Office of the State Auditor.

DAVE ARONBERG has been appointed by Attorney General Pam Bondi to the Statewide Council on Human Trafficking. Aronberg, a former state senator, is the state attorney in Palm Beach County.

ANNE-LEIGH GAYLORD MOE has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as a judge in the 13th Judicial Circuit in Hillsborough County. Moe, of Tampa, most recently has been a shareholder with Bush Ross, P.A.

TANYA DAVIS WILSON has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as a judge in the 9th Judicial Circuit in Orange and Osceola counties. Wilson, of Ocoee, has served as an Orange County judge since 2014.

SUSANNE WILSON BULLARD has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as a judge in the 8th Judicial Circuit, which includes Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Gilchrist, Levy and Union Counties. Bullard, of Gainesville, has served as an Alachua County judge since 2014.

ANA MARIA GARCIA has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as a judge in the 14th Judicial Circuit, which includes Bay, Calhoun, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson and Washington counties. Garcia, of Marianna, most recently has served as Jackson County chief assistant state attorney for the 14th Judicial Circuit.

ANDREA WATT MCHUGH has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as a judge in the 12th Judicial Circuit, which includes DeSoto, Manatee and Sarasota counties. McHugh, of Sarasota, has served as an assistant state attorney in the 12th Judicial Circuit since 2005.

JARED E. SMITH has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as a Hillsborough County judge. Smith, of Lutz, most recently has been a shareholder with Rumberger, Kirk & Caldwell, P.A.,

JOHN DOMENECH AND SHELDON SUGA have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Keys Community College Board of Trustees. Domenech, of Big Pine Key, is a retired senior project manager at Leidos and served as a colonel in the US Army. Suga, of Duck Key, is a VP Managing Director at Hawks Cay Resort.

SUSAN DOLAN AND DOUGLAS BURNETT have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the St. Johns River Water Management District Governing Board. Dolan, of Longwood, is director of community affairs for Waste Pro of Florida, Inc. Burnett, of St. Augustine, is president of Doug Burnett and Associates, LLC.

VIRGINIA SANCHEZ has been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Suwannee River Water Management District Governing Board. Sanchez, of Old Town, is a co-owner of Sanchez Farms, LLC.

MARTHA LANAHAN has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Housing Finance Corporation. Lanahan, of Tampa, is executive vice president of Regions Bank.

LOUIS A. MAYGARDEN III AND BOBBY L. WHITNEY JR. have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 1st Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Maygarden, of Pensacola, is a partner with Shell, Fleming, Davis, & Menge, P.A. Whitney, of Fort Walton Beach, is an attorney with Seymour Whitney.

ELIZABETH A. ROSADO has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 3rd Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Rosado, of Live Oak, is an assistant public defender in the 3rd Judicial Circuit.

PATRICK J. KILBANE JR. AND ROBERT M. HARRIS have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 4th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Kilbane, of Jacksonville, is general counsel and a wealth advisor for Ullman Brown Wealth Advisors. Harris, of Jacksonville, is a managing partner with Harris Guidi and Rosner P.A.

ANITA GERACI CARVER, JAMES T. SCHATT, VANESSA THOMAS AND SHANTA N. MATTHEWS have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 5th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Carver, of Clermont, is a sole practitioner. Schatt, of Ocala, is an attorney with Schatt Hesser McGraw. Thomas, of Fort McCoy, is a partner with Forman, Hanratty, Thomas & Montgomery. Matthews, of Ocala, is an attorney with Daniel L. Hightower, P.A.

SARA GAVER has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Rehabilitation Council. Gaver, of Jacksonville, is a member of the Florida Independent Living Council. 

PAUL WILSON has been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Council on the Social Status of Black Men and Boys. Wilson, of Miami Gardens, is administrative director for the Miami-Dade County public school system.

AMY GOWDER has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Defense Support Task Force. Gowder, of Orlando, is an aerospace and defense executive for Lockheed Martin. 

STEVE CERNAK has been elected to serve as the 2017-2018 chairman of the board of the American Association of Port Authorities. Cernak is chief executive and port director for Port Everglades in Broward County.

JOHN L. VOLAKIS has been appointed dean of Florida International University's College of Engineering & Computing. Volakis most recently was the Roy and Lois Chope chair and professor of electrical and computer engineering at Ohio State University's College of Engineering. 

J.C. STOUTAMIRE has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Apalachee Regional Planning Council. Stoutamire, of Hosford, is a former papermaker for St. Joe Paper Co. and served on the Liberty County Commission for eight years.

KRISTIN INCROCCI has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Sarasota Manatee Airport Authority. Incrocci, of Sarasota, is owner and pilot of SRQ Aviation.

LUKE BUZARD has been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County, Inc. Buzard, of Wesley Chapel, is pipeline safety director at TECO Energy.
