ALEXIS LAMBERT, JENNIFER TSCHETTER AND NATHAN DUNN have been named to top staff positions at the Florida Department of Health. Lambert, who has worked as director of communications for the Florida Department of Children and Families, will serve as the Department of Health's chief of staff. Tschetter, who has worked during the past three years as chief of staff and general counsel at the Department of Health, will serve as chief operating officer. Dunn, who has worked as deputy chief of staff and director of communications, will serve as deputy chief operating officer.

KIM HERNANDEZ VANCE has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as a judge in the 13th Judicial Circuit, which includes Hillsborough County. Vance, of Tampa, has served as a Hillsborough County judge since 2014.

CHARLES JOHNSON has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as a judge in the 11th Judicial Circuit, which includes Miami-Dade County. Johnson, of Coral Gables, has served as a Miami-Dade County judge since 2010.

MICHAEL THOMAS AND CYNTHIA WILLIAMS have been named to high-ranking positions at the Florida Highway Patrol. Thomas, who was named deputy director, has worked for the highway patrol for 28 years, most recently serving as commander of Troop C in the Tampa area. Williams, who was named Southern Region chief, has worked for the highway patrol for 29 years, most recently serving as acting Southern Region chief and commander of Troop D in the Orlando area.

DARYL MANNING has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as a Hillsborough County judge. Manning, of Tampa, has served as a judge advocate for the Army and an assistant attorney general in the Tampa attorney general's office.

JOHN COLON has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Manatee County School Board. Colon, of University Park, is a senior vice president of investments with Wells Fargo Advisors LLC and has served on the State Board of Education since 2013.

CHARLENE LENGER has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the New College of Florida Board of Trustees. Lenger, of Sarasota, has been the owner of Tropex Plant Leasing since 1981.

LEONARD BOORD AND MICHAEL JOSEPH have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida International University Board of Trustees. Boord, of Coral Gables, is founder and chief executive officer of Slon Capital. Joseph, of Coral Gables, is the East Florida Division president of HCA.

SHIRLEE P. BOWNE AND ALVIN ALSOBROOK have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Judicial Qualifications Commission. Bowne, of Tallahassee, is a retired marketing and development consultant. Alsobrook, of Gainesville, is the owner of Alsobrook and Associates.

ROGER "MICHAEL" O'STEEN has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Inland Navigation District. O'Steen, of Jacksonville Beach, is a director of planning and development with The PARC Group.

ANDRIA HERR has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Central Florida Expressway Authority. Herr, of Lake Mary, is president of Hylant Orlando.

RUSTY BRANSON has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the College of Central Florida District Board of Trustees. Branson, of Ocala, has been president of Gateway Bank since 2006.

LORI MORAN AND CHARLENE NEAL have been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota District Board of Trustees. Moran, of Sarasota, is an agent at Wilde Insurance Services. Neal, of Lakewood Ranch, is the owner of Charlene Neal Pure Style and vice president of design at Neal Communities.

PAUL ANDERSON has been elected chairman of the Florida Ports Council. Anderson is CEO of Port Tampa Bay.

WAYNE STUBBS has been elected chairman of the Florida Seaport Transportation and Economic Development Council. Stubbs is port director of Port Panama City.

JILLIAN HASNER has been appointed president and chief executive officer of Take Stock in Children. Hasner most recently has led a business-consulting firm.

MARK MCCULLOUGH has been named to the national communications team of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees and will lead communications across Florida. McCullough most recently served as vice president with the consulting firm New Partners.

GWYNN VIROSTEK, STEVE PETTY, KYLE BALTUCH, JOSHUA GABEL AND MORGAN MCCORD have been named to new positions at Florida TaxWatch. Virostek, who will serve as vice president of development, is a former bank executive who also has worked for Haven Hospice of North Central Florida. Petty, who will serve as chief economist, has worked as a college economics professor and conducted financial research and analysis for private finance firms. Baltuch, who will work as an economist, is a recent graduate of Florida State University. Gabel, who will work as outreach coordinator, is a former campaign staff member for Gov. Rick Scott and Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry. McCord has been promoted to director of communications.

SARRAH CARROLL, of Tallahassee, has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Greenways & Trails Council.

KELLY GREENE, CANDACE E. PARTEE, JULIE SHAW, CATHERINE JOHNSON AND JOHN E. MAGUIRE have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Independent Living Council. Greene, of Miami, is executive director of the Center for Independent Living of South Florida. Partee, of Sarasota, is chair of the Suncoast Center for Independent Living. Shaw, of Ormond Beach, is president and chief executive officer of disAbility Solutions for Independent Living. Johnson, of Navarre, is owner of Southern Resource Consulting. Maguire, of Tallahassee, is a retired operational analyst for the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.

EMERY ELLINGER has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Employee Leasing Companies. Ellinger, of St. Petersburg, is CEO of Aberdeen Advisors, Inc.

C. SHA'RON JAMES has been elected chair of the Tallahassee/Leon County Commission on the Status of Women and Girls. James is the state insurance consumer advocate.

TOMAS R. GUILARTE has been appointed dean of Florida International University's Robert Stempel College of Public Health & Social Work. Guilarte most recently has worked as Leon Hess professor and chairman of the Department of Environmental Health Sciences at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health.

ANN MOORE AND ROBERT SPENCER have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Sarasota-Manatee Airport Authority. Moore, of Bradenton, is a real estate broker with Michael Saunders. Spencer, of Bradenton, is the owner of West Coast Tomato.
