CHESTER SPELLMAN has been elected chairman of America's Service Commissions. Spellman is CEO of Volunteer Florida.

CHARLIE ANDERSON AND SARAH SCHWIRIAN will work as legislative assistants for state Sen. Tom Lee, R-Brandon. Anderson served eight years as a legislative assistant for Sen. Nancy Detert, R-Venice. Schwirian most recently worked for a communications and marketing firm.

J. LEO MONTGOMERY has been appointed by the state university system's Board of Governors to the Florida Gulf Coast University Board of Trustees. Montgomery, of Naples, is chief executive officer of JL Montgomery Consulting. 

FREDDY BALSERA has been named chief of Hispanic communications and strategy for Democrat Patrick Murphy's U.S. Senate campaign. Balsera is CEO of Balsera Communications.

DIANA WORRALL has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Building Commission. Worrall, of Naples, is a former Americans with Disabilities Act director for Miami-Dade County.

RUDD NELSON AND SHARON POWELL have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Veterinary Medicine. Nelson, of Lighthouse Point, is a veterinarian and owner of Bayview Animal Clinic, Inc. Powell, of Fort Myers, is a veterinarian at Edison Park Animal Hospital.

HOWARD BELL, JESUS GARCIA AND ROBERT KELLY have been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Rehabilitation Council for the Blind. Bell, of St. Petersburg, is a senior advocate investigator with Disability Rights Florida. Garcia, of Hialeah, is a manager at Logisticare, LLC. Kelly, of Daytona Beach, is executive director for the Florida Lions Conklin Centers for the Blind.

ANNA ESKAMANI has been named to the state Board of Directors of the League of Women Voters of Florida. Eskamani is senior director of public affairs and communications for Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida.

CHARLOTTE HESTON has been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Early Learning Coalition of Florida's Heartland. Heston, of Sebring, is vice president of corporate services for the Peace River Electric Cooperative.

BRENDA FORD has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Early Learning Coalition of Marion County. Ford, of Ocala, is a partner and CPA at Crippen & Co.

LOURDES MOLA AND CARRIE EISNAUGLE have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Early Learning Coalition of Orange County. Mola, of Orlando, is founder and president of Lourdes Mola Solutions. Eisnaugle, of Windermere, is an attorney with Holland and Knight, LLP. 

CHANDRA HOSLER has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Hillsborough County Civil Service Board. Hosler, of Land O' Lakes, is an attorney and director of legal affairs for Mid-Atlantic Finance Co., Inc.

LESLIE LONG has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Hardee County Housing Authority. Long, of Bowling Green, is a business-development and client-support specialist for Debut Development, LLC.
