TOM GRIFFIN has joined The Fiorentino Group government-relations firm. Most recently, Griffin served as chief of staff to state Sen. Rob Bradley, R-Fleming Island.

SAL NUZZO has joined the James Madison Institute as vice president of policy and director of the institute's Center for Economic Prosperity. Nuzzo's previous positions have included research and public policy manager for the Florida Chamber Foundation and chief of staff with the Florida State University Alumni Association.

REGGIE BOUTHILLIER AND KENNETH METCALF have joined the Tallahassee office of the law firm Stearns Weaver Miller Weissler Alhadeff & Sitterson, P.A. Bouthillier, who works in areas such as land use, growth management, governmental affairs and administrative law, joined the firm after 22 years at Greenberg Traurig. Metcalf, a planner, previously worked at Greenberg Traurig and at the Florida Department of Community Affairs.

HOLLY GRISSINGER has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as a Pinellas County judge. Grissinger of Clearwater, has served as an assistant state attorney in the Sixth Judicial Circuit since 2001.

NITA DENTON has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Nineteenth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission, which includes Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee counties. Denton, of Stuart, is managing attorney of the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office.

MARGARET "PEGGY" SLATTERY AND RICHARD WILLIAMS have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Opticianry. Slattery, of O’Brien, is an optician with Walmart Vision Center. Williams, of Panama City, is an optician with Walmart Vision Center.

BRIAN DICK has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Highway Beautification Council. Dick, of Lakeland, is assistant superintendent of parks for the city of Lakeland.
