JOE GRUTERS AND SUSAN WILES have been named Florida chairs of the Donald Trump presidential campaign. Gruters is chairman of the Republican Party of Sarasota County and is vice chairman of the Republican Party of Florida. Wiles is managing partner of the Jacksonville office of Ballard Partners and managed Gov. Rick Scott's 2010 election campaign.

JOANNE MCCALL has been elected president of the Florida Education Association. McCall has served as the association's vice president and previously taught as a speech language pathologist in Sumter County.

JEANNE TATE has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Supreme Court Judicial Nominating Commission. Tate, of Tampa, is managing partner of Jeanne Trudeau Tate, P.A.

EDWARD FLEMING, GARY RUTLEDGE AND RICHARD DORAN have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 1st District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission. Fleming, of Pensacola, is a partner of McDonald Fleming Moorhead. Rutledge, of Tallahassee, is a shareholder with Rutledge Ecenia, P.A. Doran, of Tallahassee, is a shareholder of Ausley McMullen.

EDWARD PAGE, BRADFORD D. KIMBRO AND CYNTHIA OSTER have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 2nd District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission. Page, of Tampa, is a shareholder with Carlton Fields Jorden Burt. Kimbro, of Tampa, is a partner with Holland & Knight, LLP. Oster, of Tampa, is senior assistant county attorney in Hillsborough County.

RAQUEL RODRIGUEZ AND RICHARD D. LARA have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 3rd District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission. Rodriguez, of Key Biscayne, is Miami managing member of McDonald Hopkins, LLC. Lara, of Miami, is managing partner at Mase Lara, P.A.

NICHOLAS ROMANELLO has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 4th District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission. Romanello, of West Palm Beach, is chief executive of the Health Care District of Palm Beach County.

LEE SCHMUDDE, CRAIG DYER AND MILO SCOTT THOMAS have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 5th District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission. Schmudde, of Celebration, is vice president for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. Dyer, of Daytona Beach, is former chief assistant public defender in the 7th Judicial Circuit. Thomas, of Ponte Vedra Beach, is a shareholder with Roger Towers, P.A.

KRISTINA OSTERHAUS, CHASITY O'STEEN AND FREDERICK DUDLEY have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 2nd Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Osterhaus, of Tallahassee, practiced in the past as an associate at Wiley Rein, LLP in Washington, D.C. O'Steen, of Tallahassee, is a deputy general counsel at the Florida Department of Financial Services. Dudley, of Havana, is a partner at Dudley, Sellers & Healy, P.L.

DANIEL FRIDMAN, CHRISTINE HERNANDEZ-BALDWIN AND ROBERTO PARDO have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 11th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Fridman, of Coral Gables, is a partner with White & Case, LLP. Hernandez-Baldwin, of Miami, is an assistant state attorney in Miami-Dade County. Pardo, of Miami, has a criminal defense law practice.

TERESA GAFFNEY AND ANDREW MAYTS, JR. have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 13th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Gaffney, Tampa, is general counsel for Overstreet Wealth Management, Inc. Mayts, of Tampa, is a shareholder at GrayRobinson, P.A.

KELLY HAGER, GORDON DIETERLE, ROBERT HARVEY AND BARRY POSTMAN have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 15th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Hager, of Palm Beach Gardens, is president of the Kelly V. Hager Insurance Agency, Inc. Dieterle, of Boca Raton, is a partner with Goede, Adamczyk, DeBoest & Cross, PLLC. Harvey, of West Palm Beach, is co-owner of Jenks and Harvey, LLP. Postman, of Palm Beach Gardens, is a partner at Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A.

KEVIN TYNAN has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 17th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Tynan, of Pembroke Pines, is a partner at Richardson & Tynan, PLC.

SCOTT ROSS will join the government-affairs firm Capital City Consulting. Ross' past positions have included deputy secretary of the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.

JUSTIN SAYFIE has been named managing partner of the of the Fort Lauderdale office of the government-affairs firm Ballard Partners. Sayfie is an attorney, lobbyist and publisher of the Sayfie Review.

GREG UNGRU has been named director of communications at LeadingAge Florida. Ungru has held positions at the Republican Party of Florida, the Florida Sports Foundation and the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity.

RON BARTLETT, ALIA FARAJ-JOHNSON AND SUSAN THURSTON have been named to new positions at Hill+Knowlton Strategies. Bartlett, who most recently served as head of the Florida public affairs practice, was named deputy general manager of Florida operations. Faraj-Johnson, who has served as a senior vice president, was named Florida public-affairs practice leader. Thurston, who most recently worked as a reporter and editor at the Tampa Bay Times, will be a senior account executive.

DAVID MULLINS has been named general manager of WFSU, Florida State University's public television and public radio station. Mullins most recently served as president and general manager of WVPT, the public television station in Harrisonburg, Va..

LEE CONSTANTINE, BARBARA SHEEN TODD AND MICHAEL BUSHA have been elected to positions with the Florida Regional Councils Association. Constantine, a Seminole County commissioner and chairman of the East Central Florida Regional Planning Council, will serve as president of the association. Todd, an appointee to the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council, will serve as first vice president. Busha, executive director of the Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council, will serve as chairman of the association's Executive Directors Advisory Committee.

LYNN NORMAN-TECK has been named executive director of the Florida Charter School Alliance. Norman-Teck most recently served as director of communications for the Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools.

KELLIE RALSTON has joined the American Sportfishing Association as fishery policy director for the Keep Florida Fishing initiative. Ralston most recently worked as an analyst with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

DOYLE E. CARLTON III of Wauchula has been re-elected as chairman of the board of the Florida State Fair Authority. Also re-elected were Linda Syfrett of Okeechobee as treasurer, John "Jack" T. Vogel of San Antonio as secretary, and Robert M. Thomas of Thonotosassa as vice chairman.

MARK KUMMER AND LESLENE GORDON have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Diabetes Advisory Council. Kummer, of Pensacola, is a physician and community health center division chief at Nemours Children's Clinic. Gordon, of Lutz, is community health director for the Florida Department of Health in Hillsborough County.

NICHOLAS X. DURAN has been named executive director of the Florida Association of Free and Charitable Clinics. Duran most recently served as Florida state director for Enroll America.

ANGELA SWARTZMAN has been appointed health officer for the Florida Department of Health in Lee County. Swartzman most recently has served as deputy public health director in Chautauqua County, N.Y.

JOHN "VAL" ZUDANS has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Indian River County Hospital District Board of Trustees. Zudans, of Vero Beach, is an ophthalmologist and a partner with the Florida Eye Institute.

AUSTIN MOUNT has been named executive director of the West Florida Regional Planning Council. Mount previously served as executive director of the Kaysinger Basin Regional Planning Commission in Clinton, Mo.
