DAVE MURZIN has been named Northwest Florida director for the firm Liberty Partners of Tallahassee. Murzin served in the Florida House from 2002 to 2010 and was a longtime legislative staff member.

PAT GERAGHTY has been elected chairman of the Florida Council of 100. Geraghty is chief executive officer of GuideWell Mutual Holding Corp. and Florida Blue.

RYAN MATTHEWS has been appointed deputy secretary for regulatory programs at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. Matthews most recently served as the department's director of water policy.

BOBBY DUBOSE AND GARY FARMER have been elected to leadership roles with the Broward County legislative delegation. DuBose, a Democratic House member from Fort Lauderdale, will serve as delegation chairman for the 2017 session. Farmer, a Democratic senator from Fort Lauderdale, will serve as vice-chairman.

MARTIN S. FEIN AND KEATHAN B. FRINK have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as judges in the 17th Judicial Circuit in Broward County. Fein, of Davie, has been a sole practitioner since 1998. Frink, of Cooper City, is a partner with Kelley Kronenberg.

VITO SHEELEY has been named district director for newly elected Congressman Charlie Crist. Sheeley has previously worked as outreach director on the staff of U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor, D-Fla., and outreach director on the Crist for Congress campaign.

WADE LITCHFIELD has joined the Volunteer Florida Foundation Board of Directors. Litchfield is vice president and general counsel of Florida Power & Light Co.

ESTELLA GRAY has joined the Hill+Knowlton Strategies public-relations firm. Gray, who will work in the firm's Tampa office, most recently worked as government affairs program manager for the Southwest Florida Water Management District.

BEN WOLF has been named a client partner with ISF, Inc. Wolf most recently served as chief of staff at the Florida Department of Management Services.

GLENNA ASHTON, KAREN GOLDBERG, LOIS LAIBL-CROWE, ROSIE FINIGAN, EUGENIA HALLIBURTON AND DEBRA KNOX have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Coordinating Council for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Ashton, of Boca Raton, is an adjunct professor at the University of Florida. Goldberg, of Brandon, is director of deaf mental health at the University of South Florida. Laibl-Crowe, of Palatka, is the volunteer program coordinator for the Florida Deaf and Blind Association. Finigan, of Key West, is an occupational therapist and center manager for Select Physical Therapy. Halliburton, of Jacksonville, is an instructor at Impact Christian Academy. Knox, of Oviedo, is a speech-language pathologist and clinical director at the University of Central Florida. 

RODNEY DUNETZ AND JANINE MARGEWICZ have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Acupuncture. Dunetz, of Delray Beach, is an acupuncturist and founder of Dunetz Wellness Center. Margewicz, of Winter Garden, is an acupuncture physician at SunRise Acupuncture and West Orlando Acupuncture.
