EMERY GAINEY has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as interim Marion County sheriff. Gainey, of Tallahassee, has served as director of law enforcement relations, victim services and criminal justice programs for the attorney general's office since 2007.

NANCY BANNER AND PHILIP WARD have been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Health Care District of Palm Beach County. Banner, of Palm Beach Gardens, is a self-employed real estate attorney with Nancy C. Banner P.A. Ward, of Jupiter, is an attorney with Ward Damon.

TOM NAPIER has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the State Retirement System. Napier, of Tallahassee, formerly served as Leon County clerk of circuit court.

RICHARD L. COLE, JEFFERY HURST AND ARLENE S. SHACKELFORD have been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Endowment Foundation for Vocational Rehabilitation. Cole, of The Villages, is a self-employed attorney. Hurst, of Montverde, is senior vice president of finance at Florida Hospital. Shackelford, of Port St. Lucie, is lead human resources adviser at Florida Power and Light. 

RUSSELL MARCUS, KARYNE POMPILUS AND MARK O'LOUGHLIN have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Broward County Housing Authority. Marcus, of Coral Springs, is chief of business and economic incentives for the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity. Pompilus, of Lauderdale Lakes, is executive director of Actions for Better Future, Inc. O'Loughlin, of Pembroke Pines, is president of Trademark Graphics, Inc.

JIM HOWARD AND DEBORAH MOORE have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Area 1 Family Care Council. Howard, of Pace, is a specialist with the Family Network on Disabilities Education. Moore, of Pensacola, is an engineering specialist with the Department of Environmental Protection.

NANCY WHITFIELD has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Area 2 Family Care Council. Whitfield, of Tallahassee, is an advocate for persons with disabilities.

DENISE TORRES has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Area 4 Family Care Council. Torres, of Jacksonville, is an advocate for persons with disabilities.

CYNTHIA DYER AND AMELIA SKLAR have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Area 5 Family Care Council. Dyer, of Clearwater, is a licensed practical nurse. Sklar, of Palm Harbor, is an advocate for persons with disabilities.

LESLIE LEVY, SARA BROTHERS AND ROSE MARIE ALDRED have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Area 7 Family Care Council. Levy, of Winter Springs, is co-owner of Helpers in Heels. Brothers, of Altamonte Springs, is an advocate for persons with disabilities. Aldred, of Orlando, is a project administrator with Electric Services Inc.

VICKI KURKIMILIS has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Area 8 Family Care Council. Kurkimilis, of Fort Myers, is owner of the Dirt Stops Here.

CLAIRE FALIK has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Area 9 Family Care Council. Falik, of Wellington, is a former member of the Goodwill Transition to Life Academy Board of Directors.

STEVE POITEVIEN has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Area 10 Family Care Council. Poitevien, of Hollywood, is an advocate for persons with disabilities.

SANDRA AMES, JOSE "ERNIE" MARTINEZ AND JANET MCDANIEL have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Area 11 Family Care Council. Ames, of Homestead, is a retired educator. Martinez, of Miami, is an advocate for persons with disabilities. McDaniel, of Miami, is an adjunct professor at Florida International University Honors College.

SIMONE BRATCHER, LESLI CLARK, MARYELLEN RICHMOND AND STEPHANIE HOPPER have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Area 13 Family Care Council. Bratcher, of Spring Hill, is an inclusion specialist with the Early Childhood Council of Hillsborough County. Clark, of Inverness, is a teacher. Richmond, of Inverness, is an advocate for persons with disabilities. Hopper, of Inverness, is a retired Citrus County teacher.

TOSHA LITTLES has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Area 14 Family Care Council. Littles, of Lakeland, is multicultural outreach coordinator for the Family Network on Disabilities.

ANTHONY MANCUSO has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Area 15 Family Care Council. Mancuso, of Sebastian, is an advocate for persons with disabilities.
