MARVA JOHNSON has been elected chairwoman of the State Board of Education. Johnson, a corporate vice president for Bright House Networks LLC, replaces outgoing Chairman Gary Chartrand.

PAMELA GOODMAN has been elected president of the League of Women Voters of Florida. Goodman is a former president and chief executive officer of Limited Express and is president of the Homeless Coalition of Palm Beach County.

STAN CONNALLY, TODD POWELL AND TREY PARIS have been appointed regional chairmen of the Florida Chamber of Commerce. Connally, who will be the Central Panhandle regional chairman, is president and chief executive officer of Gulf Power Co. Powell, who will be North Central Florida regional chairman, is general manager, real estate, of Plum Creek. Paris, who will be Atlanta regional chairman, is U.S. manager of state government relations with General Electric.

TERRY SANDERS, LAURA FAUSONE, SHIRLEY ANN RAWLS , JUDI MARRACCINI, MEREDITH OCKMAN, MARY FLANAGAN AND LISA LABBE have been selected for leadership positions with the Florida National Organization for Women. Sanders will serve as president, Fausone will serve as vice president, Rawls will serve as treasurer, Marraccini will serve as legislative director, Ockman will serve as administrative secretary, Flanagan will serve as membership director, and Labbe will serve as communications director.

MICHAEL CALHOUN has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Defense Support Task Force. Calhoun is adjutant general of the Florida National Guard.

DENISE DELL-POWELL has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Commission on the Status of Women. Dell-Powell, of Orlando, is a partner with Burr & Forman.

NICHOLAS FEATHER has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Early Learning Coalition of Sarasota County. Feather, of Sarasota, is a financial planner with Capstan Financial Consulting Group.

BRIAN GRAHAM has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Early Learning Coalition of North Florida. Graham, of Middleburg, is managing partner of Dixie Strategies LLC

JOEL ROSEN has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Early Learning Coalition of Flagler and Volusia Counties. Rosen, of Palm Coast, is owner of AJ Enterprises of Palm Coast Inc.

DONNA JACKSON has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Union County Housing Authority. Jackson, of Lake Butler, is an office manager for Pritchett Company.
