ERIN O'HARA O'CONNOR has been named dean of the Florida State University College of Law. O'Connor is the Milton R. Underwood Chair in Law and director of graduate studies for the Ph.D. Program in Law and Economics at Vanderbilt Law School.

SUSAN H. ROTHSTEIN-YOUAKIM has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as a judge on the 2nd District Court of Appeal. Rothstein-Youakim, of Tampa, has been an assistant United States attorney in the Middle District of Florida since 1995. 

NIKI MCKINNELL has been named vice president of public affairs for the Florida Ports Council. McKinnell most recently worked at the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, where she managed marketing programs and grants to increase driver safety.

JENNIFER KRELL DAVIS has accepted the position of deputy director of the office of public information at The Florida Bar. Davis has most recently served as vice president of public affairs for the Florida Ports Council.

BARNEY BISHOP III has been appointed by Department of Business and Professional Regulation Secretary Ken Lawson as a member of the Florida Engineers Management Corporation. Bishop, of Tallahassee, is a former president and CEO of Associated Industries of Florida and is CEO of Barney Bishop Consulting.

REBECCA E. ROMAN has been hired as an associate at the lobbying firm Adams St. Associates. Roman, a recent Florida State University graduate, worked from 2013 to 2015 for state Rep. Jimmie Smith, R-Inverness.

JOSE A. IZQUIERDO has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as a judge in the 17th Judicial Circuit, which is made up of Broward County. Izquierdo, of Miramar, has practiced with Izquierdo & Marin, P.A. since 2007 and with the Law Offices of Jose Izquierdo, P.A. since 2006.

MICHELLE L. NABERHAUS AND THOMAS J. BROWN have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as Brevard County judges. Naberhaus, of Merritt Island, most recently has practiced with Dean Mead, P.A. Brown, of Melbourne, is an assistant state attorney in the 18th Judicial Circuit, which includes Brevard and Seminole counties.

MICHAEL DAVIS has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as a Broward County judge. Davis, of Fort Lauderdale, has been a senior assistant attorney general since 2014.

DAVID GONZALEZ AND SHAUN ANDREW have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Hernando County Housing Authority. Gonzalez, of Hernando Beach, is West Hernando district manager for Withlacoochee River Electric Co-op, Inc. Andrew, of Brooksville, is a Realtor with Tommie Dawson Realty
