BRAD SWANSON has been named president of the Florida Cable Telecommunications Association. Swanson previously served as executive director of the Florida Transportation Commission.

MARIA A. FEELEY has been named general counsel at Florida A&M University. Feeley most recently has worked as a partner at Pepper Hamilton LLP and as a senior consultant for Freeh Group International Solutions, LLC.

CHRISTOPHER A. FRANCE has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as a judge in the 7th Judicial Circuit, which includes St. Johns, Putnam, Flagler and Volusia counties. France, of Palatka, has been an assistant state attorney in the 7th Judicial Circuit since 1997.

DAVID V. WARD has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as a judge in the 10th Judicial Circuit, which includes Hardee, Highlands and Polk counties. Ward, of Sebring, has been an assistant state attorney in the 10th Judicial Circuit since 2001.

DALIAH H. WEISS AND CYMONIE S. ROWE have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as judges in the 15th Judicial Circuit, which includes Palm Beach County. Weiss, of Wellington, has been a county judge since 2012. Rowe, of Boca Raton, is a senior trial attorney for Liberty Mutual.

MICHAEL J. BROWN has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as a Collier County judge. Brown, of Naples, has been an assistant state attorney in the 20th Judicial Circuit since 2009.

JOSHUA RIBA has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as a Pinellas County judge. Riba, of Safety Harbor, has been an assistant state attorney in the 6th Judicial Circuit since 2010.

JOSEPH A. POBLICK has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as a Pasco County judge. Poblick, of Dade City, has been an attorney with the Law Offices of Joseph A. Poblick since 2005.

JENNIFER LOCETTA has been named Florida state director of the Donald Trump presidential campaign. Locetta has served as deputy state director.

JESSICA SOLANO has been named the 2017 Florida Department of Education/Macy's Teacher of the Year. Solano is a math teacher at Highlands Grove Elementary School in Polk County.

CISSY PROCTOR has been named to the Board of Trustees of Florida House on Capitol Hill. Proctor, of Tallahassee, is executive director of the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity.
