AMY ZUBALY has been named interim executive director of the Florida Municipal Electric Association. Zubaly has served as deputy executive director of public affairs and strategic communications.

CHRISTA CALAMAS, HEATHER STEARNS, CHRISTINE GRAVES AND GARY HUNTER JR. have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 1st District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission. Calamas, of Tallahassee, is staff director for the Florida House Health & Human Services Committee. Stearns, of Tallahassee, is an attorney with the Office of the Chief Inspector General. Graves, of Tallahassee, is an appellate attorney and shareholder with Carlton Fields. Hunter, of Tallahassee, is an attorney for Hopping Green & Sams, P.A.

CHARBEL BARAKAT AND HUNTER CHAMBERLIN have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 2nd District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission. Barakat, of Tampa, is vice president and chief counsel of the Florida region for D.R. Horton, Inc. Chamberlin, of Tampa, is an attorney and the owner of Chamberlin Law Firm, P.A.

AMANDA CARL, BRETT RENTON AND MICHAEL C. SASSO have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 5th District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission. Carl, of Deltona, is a corporate attorney for A. Duda & Sons, Inc. Renton, of Orlando, is an attorney and partner with Shutts & Bowen, LLP. Sasso, of Oviedo, is an attorney and partner with Sasso & Sasso, P.A.

J. ANDREW ATKINSON, STUART WILLIAMS AND ROBERT CLARKE JR. have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 2nd Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Atkinson, of Tallahassee, is general counsel for the Department of Management Services. Williams, of Tallahassee, is general counsel for the Agency for Health Care Administration. Clarke, of Tallahassee, is an attorney with Ausley McMullen.

BILL BUNTING, TODD JENNINGS AND KARA HARDIN have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 6th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Bunting is of Hudson. Jennings, of Belleair, is an attorney with Macfarlane, Ferguson, and McMullen. Hardin, of Zephyrhills, is an attorney with Kara Hardin, P.L.

PAETRA BROWNLEE, MATTHEW KLEIN, JOSHUA GROSSHANS AND WILLIAM VOSE have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 9th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Brownlee, of Orlando, is an attorney with Charles M. Greene, P.A. Klein, of Orlando, is an attorney with Jackson Lewis, P.C. Grosshans, of Winter Garden, is an attorney with Latham, Shuker, Eden & Beaudine, LLP. Vose, of Orlando, is a former assistant state attorney.

PAUL HUCK JR., HAYDEN O'BYRNE AND WALTER HARVEY have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 11th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Huck, of Pinecrest, is an attorney with Jones Day. O'Byrne, of Coral Gables, is an associate attorney with K&L Gates, LLP. Harvey, of Miami Shores, is an attorney for the Miami-Dade County School Board.

MICHAEL BELTRAN AND GILBERT SINGER have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 13th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Beltran, of Tampa, is a sole practitioner with Beltran Litigation, P.A. Singer, of Tampa, is an attorney and partner with Marcadis Singer, P.A.

BRAD HOWARD, JOHN LAUFER AND LAUREN GRABELL ALLEN have been named to staff positions by newly elected U.S. Rep. Stephanie Murphy, D-Fla. Howard will serve as chief of staff; Laufer will serve as deputy chief of staff and legislative director; and Grabell Allen will serve as district director.

WENDY D. ANDERSON, WENDY FEATHERSON, CAROLINE ROWLAND, AIMEE COLLINS-MANDEVILLE, SONJA WHITE, ERIC WALDRON, CHESTER GLOVER AND GLADYS MORALES-SMITH have been named to staff positions by newly elected U.S. Rep. Val Demings, D-Fla. Anderson will serve as chief of staff; Featherson will serve as scheduler and executive assistant; Rowland will serve as communications director; Collins-Mandeville will serve as senior legislative assistant; White will serve as district director; Waldron will serve as community and economic development director; and Glover and Morales-Smith will serve as constituent services caseworkers.
