HERSCHEL VINYARD AND KAREN BOWLING have joined the firm Foley & Lardner LLP. Vinyard most recently served as secretary of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. Bowling most recently served as chief administrative officer for the city of Jacksonville and previously was chief executive officer of Solantic Walk-in Urgent Care, a company she co-founded with Gov. Rick Scott.

RAHUL PATEL AND ROBERT STERN have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the University of Florida Board of Trustees. Patel, of Atlanta, is an attorney and partner with King and Spalding. Stern, of Tampa, is an attorney and partner with Trenam Kemker.

JENNIFER MEALE has been named by Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam as communications director for the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Meale most recently served as communications director for Attorney General Pam Bondi and also has worked for the Department of Business and Professional Regulation.

TREY STAPLETON AND WHITNEY RAY have been named by Attorney General Pam Bondi to top positions in her communications office. Stapleton, who will serve as director public affairs, most recently worked as communications director for Bondi's 2014 re-election campaign. Ray, who will serve as director of media relations, has worked as press secretary in the Attorney General's Office since 2013.

DAVID SHEPP has joined the Southern Strategy Group lobbying firm. Shepp previously led the Florida Strategic Group firm and served a legislative assistant to then-state Rep. Adam Putnam.

BRITT SIKES has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as chairman of the CareerSource Florida Board of Directors. Sikes, of Fort Lauderdale, is general manager of enterprise accounts for DEX Imaging.

LORI DESMOND, DERRICK GLYMPH, LISA RENEE JOHNSON, JODY BRYANT NEWMAN, LEONARD CONNORS AND DIANA FORST have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Nursing. Desmond, of Valrico, is a registered nurse manager with Tampa General Hospital. Glymph, of Pembroke Pines, is a nurse anesthetist with the United States Army Reserves and a clinical assistant professor with Florida International University. Johnson, of Fort Myers, is a nurse liaison with the rehabilitation hospital for Lee County Health Systems. Newman, of Clermont, is an administrator with the Orange County schools. Connors, of Plant City, is a self-employed attorney. Forst, of Palm City, is a registered nurse with Martin County Health Systems.

STEVE CONA III AND DIPA SHAH have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Hillsborough Community College Board of Trustees. Cona, of Tampa, is president and chief executive officer of Associated Builders and Contractors Florida Gulf Coast Chapter. Shah, of Valrico, is an attorney and managing partner of Shah Law.

JOHN BENZ has been reappointed to the Broward College Board of Trustees. Benz, of Fort Lauderdale, is a senior vice president of Memorial Healthcare System.

JOHN PADGETT has been reappointed to the Chipola College Board of Trustees. Padgett, of Marianna, is a former Jackson County commissioner.

ROBERT "BOB" STOKY II has been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Keys Community College Board of Trustees. Stoky, of Key Largo, is president of Señor Frijoles Inc.

MARK FEURER, CHRISTA LUNA, PHOEBE RAULERSON AND BRANTLEY “BRANT” SCHIRARD have been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Indian River State College Board of Trustees. Feurer, of Vero Beach, is president of Communications International Inc. Luna, of Okeechobee, is the dealer operator of Gilbert Chevrolet Company. Raulerson, of Okeechobee, is a former Okeechobee County superintendent of schools. Schirard, of Fort Pierce, is president of Schirard Cirtrus Inc.

RAYMOND "SCOTT" BLANKENSHIP, EMILY LEE AND KELLY RICE have been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Lake-Sumter State College Board of Trustees. Blankenship, of Clermont, is president of Blankenship Consulting. Lee, of Eustis, is a community facilitator for Kids Central Inc. Rice, of Webster, is owner of Century 21 Prime Property Resources Inc.

WENDY BRANDON AND JEFFREY "JEFF" BAUER have been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Seminole State College Board of Trustees. Brandon, of Sanford, is chief executive officer of Central Florida Regional Hospital. Bauer, of Casselberry, is an insurance agent with Admin Insurance Group and a member of the Seminole County School Board.

TAMELA "TAMI" CULLENS, KENNETH “KEN” LAMBERT AND KRIS RIDER have been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the South Florida State College Board of Trustees. Cullens, of Sebring, is human resource manager for Glisson Animal Supply Inc. Lambert, of Wauchula, is owner of Summit 105 Group Marketing and Strategic Planning. Rider, of Lake Placid, is a bookkeeper for Michael A. Rider PA.

CRAIG TRIGUEIRO has been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota Board of Trustees. Trigueiro, of Lakewood Ranch, is a physician with Manatee County Rural Health Services.

DEVERON GIBBONS has been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the St. Petersburg College Board of Trustees. Gibbons, of St. Petersburg, is vice president of public affairs and business development for Amscot.

FRANK MESSERSMITH has been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Tallahassee Community College Board of Trustees. Messersmith, of Crawfordville, is a consultant for FSM Associates.

ROBERT SIBLEY AND SHARON CUNNINGHAM have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Regulatory Council of Community Association Managers. Sibley, of Winter Springs, is a retired financial manager with Charles Schwab and Company. Cunningham, of Sarasota, is president of Cunningham Property Management.
