HARVEY L. JAY III AND ALLEN WINSOR have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as judges on the 1st District Court of Appeal. Jay, of Jacksonville, has served as a judge in the 4th Judicial Circuit since 2012. Winsor, of Tallahassee, serves as solicitor general in the Attorney General's Office.

ERNEST KOLLRA AND ALBERTO RIBAS JR. have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as judges in the 17th Judicial Circuit, which includes Broward County. Kollra, of Plantation, has practiced with Ernest A. Kollra, P.A. since 1986. Ribas, of Fort Lauderdale, has served as an assistant state attorney in the 17th Judicial Circuit since 2006.

GEOFFREY GENTILE AND LEIGH FRIZZELL HAYES have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as judges in the 20th Judicial Circuit, which includes Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry and Lee counties. Gentile, of Cape Coral, is a partner with Boyle, Gentile & Leonard. Hayes, of Fort Myers, has been a Lee County judge since 1997.

GINA BEOVIDES has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as a Miami-Dade County judge. Beovides, of Miami, has served as a senior staff attorney at Dade Legal Aid since 2006.

DEVIN S. GEORGE has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as a Lee County judge. George, of North Fort Myers, has served as an assistant state attorney in the 20th Judicial Circuit since 2006.

PAUL MILITELLO has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as a Sumter County judge. Militello has been a solo practitioner since 2009.

SHEVRIN D. JONES has been named state director of People For the American Way Foundation's Young Elected Officials Network. Jones, D-West Park, represents District 101 in the Florida House.

SUSAN S. FIORITO has been named founding director of Florida State University's newly established Jim Moran School of Entrepreneurship. Fiorito serves as chair of the Department of Entrepreneurship, Strategy and Information Systems in the FSU College of Business, is president of the FSU Faculty Senate and is a university trustee.

LISA MURRAY has been named director of education and member services for the Florida Chapter of the Assisted Living Federation of America. Murray has worked at the Department of Elder Affairs, most recently as a planning and grant development specialist.

PATRICIA FITZGERALD has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Real Estate Commission. Fitzgerald, of Jupiter, is a real-estate broker and associate manager for Illustrated Properties.

RICHARD WILLIAMS AND DALE SHANNON have been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Opticianry. Williams, of Panama City, is an optician with Sam's Vision Center. Shannon, of Ocala, is an optician with Superior Optical Labs.

JOSEPH FREY has been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Respiratory Care. Frey, of Longwood, is a respiratory therapy manager with Select Specialty Hospital.

MICHAEL STRICKLAND, SCOTT THOMASON, RACHELLE WOOD, MARY LAYTON, WILLIAM "BRIAN" CATHEY, AARON BOYETTE, JAMES EVETTS AND ROY LENOIS have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Construction Industry Licensing Board. Strickland, of Lakeland, is a building contractor and president of Strickland Construction, Inc. Thomason, of Fort White, is a building official for the city of High Springs. Wood, of Jupiter, is a sheet metal contractor and president of Dolphin Sheet Metal, Inc. Layton, of Tampa, is a general contractor and senior project manager for Walbridge. Cathey, of Port St. Joe, is a general contractor and president of Cathey Construction and Development. Boyette, of Tallahassee, is president of PSBI. Evetts, of New Port Richey, is a building official and floodplain manager for the city of New Port Richey. Lenois, of Daytona Beach, is a pool contractor and chief executive officer of Artesian Pools of East Florida Inc.

NANCY BRADLEY AND LYNN MULHERIN have been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Commission for Independent Education. Bradley, of Orlando, is owner and administrator of Daytona College, LLC. Mulherin, of Celebration, is a district vice president with the University of Phoenix.

SUSAN AMAT has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Technology Advisory Council. Amat, of Coral Gables, is founder and chief executive officer of Venture Hive.

CHRISTOPHER BROOKS AND VICTORIA DRAGO have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Massage Therapy. Brooks, of Ormond Beach, is program director of massage therapy and an instructor of therapeutic massage, anatomy and physiology at Daytona College. Drago, of Tampa, is a massage therapist and owner of Oasis Tan and Nail Salon.

DARRYL REGISTER, DOUG CONKEY, HELGA VAN ECKERT, JOHN DREW, LARRY HARVEY, MICHAEL BOURRE, JAMES "JIMMY" JOHNS, RONALD "RON" TIMONERE AND CURTIS HART have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Northeast Florida Regional Planning Council. Register, of Glen St. Mary, is executive director of the Baker County Chamber of Commerce. Conkey, of Orange Park, is president of the Clay County Chamber of Commerce. Van Eckert, of Palm Coast, is executive director of Flagler County Department of Economic Opportunity. Drew, of Yulee, is Nassau County tax collector. Harvey, of Interlachen, is a Putnam County commissioner. Bourre, of Fleming Island is president of Bourre Construction Group, LLC. Johns, of Saint Johns, is president of Solid Rock Engineering Consultants, Inc. and a St. Johns County commissioner. Timonere is a regional director of business development for UF Health Jacksonville. Hart, of Jacksonville, is owner of Hart Resources, LLC. 

REECE PARRISH AND MARK LLANO have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council. Parrish, of Fort Pierce, is a senior detective with the Florida Department of Financial Services Fraud Division. Llano, of Lake Worth, is president and chief executive officer of Source One Distributors.

CARY GOLDBERG has been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the South Florida Regional Planning Council. Goldberg, of Deerfield Beach, is president of Diversified Realty Development Co.

HAZEL SELLERS AND DONNA HOWERTON have been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Central Florida Regional Planning Council. Sellers, of Bartow, is a Polk County School Board member. Howerton, of Sebring, is vice president of South Ridge Abstract. 

TRENIA COX, SHEILA GOMEZ, KIRT ANDERSON, ROLANDO GONZALEZ AND CARL REEVES have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Faith-Based and Community-Based Advisory Council. Cox, of St. Petersburg, is senior special projects coordinator for the Juvenile Welfare Board. Gomez, of Jensen Beach, is Catholic charities executive director for the Diocese of Palm Beach. Anderson, of Naples, is pastor of Naples Community Church. Gonzalez, of Miami, is executive director of Victory for Youth and the Share Your Heart program. Reeves, of Pensacola, is pastor of the Greater Mount Lily Missionary Baptist Church.

PAUL SULLIVAN has been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Hernando County Housing Authority. Sullivan, of Hernando Beach, is a U.S. Air Force veteran and a retired corrections officer for the Florida Department of Corrections.

JOSEPH HUDGINS has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Sarasota County Charter Review Board. Hudgins, of Sarasota, is senior executive vice president and chief credit officer of First Florida Integrity Bank.

GUERRY MAGIDSON, JAMES "MATT" TERRY AND JESSICA RISH have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Port St. Joe Port Authority. Magidson, of Port St. Joe, is owner of Comprehensive Corporate Strategies and GPM Financial LLC. Terry, of Port St. Joe, is owner of Appraisal Group of North Florida. Rish, of Port St. Joe, is a partner with Gulf Coast Real Estate Group and JS Gulf Consulting LLC.

DAVID WESTON has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Big Cypress Basin Board. Weston, of Naples, is chief operating officer of Naples Lumber and Supply.

DIGNA MEJIA, BRENDA CLEMENTS, PAUL DUMARS AND CHARLES FETSCHER have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Palm Beach County Housing Authority. Mejia, of West Palm Beach, is an academic coordinator for Florida Atlantic University. Clements, of West Palm Beach, is medical administrative support for the West Palm Beach Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center. Dumars, of Royal Palm Beach, is chief financial officer for Penn Dutch Food Center. Fetscher, of Palm Beach, is a retired manager for IBM.
 
CRISTAL J. COLE has been named AT&T's regional director of external affairs for Northeast Miami-Dade County and the Miami-Dade County School Board. Cole's previous positions have included serving as a director of community engagement for the Foundation for Excellence in Education and the Foundation for Florida's Future.
