STEVE CRISAFULLI has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Fish & Wildlife Foundation of Florida. Crisafulli, of Merritt Island, recently finished a two-year term as speaker of the Florida House.

DAVID DAMRON has been named communications director for U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla. Damron most recently worked for U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Fla.

TOLA THOMPSON has been named chief of staff for newly elected U.S. Rep. Al Lawson, D-Fla. Thompson has served as director of governmental relations for Florida A&M University.

BARBARA COHEN-PIPPIN has been named director of governmental relations at Florida A&M University. Cohen-Pippin's previous positions have included serving from 2000 to 2011 as special assistant to the president for governmental relations at Broward College.

JESSICA CARY has been named communications coordinator in the Florida Department of Law Enforcement's Office of External Affairs. Cary most recently served as development director for Second Harvest of the Big Bend and previously held positions such as communications director for the Florida Department of Corrections.

ALBERTO MARTINEZ AND CLINT REED have been appointed to new positions by U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla. Martinez, who has served as chief of staff to Rubio, will become a senior adviser. Reed, who managed Rubio's re-election campaign this year, will serve as chief of staff.

LAUREN REAMY, ANSLEY RHYNE, SAMANTHA ROBERTS AND ROBERT "BOBBY" ZARATE have been named to new positions on U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio's legislative staff. Reamy will serve as deputy legislative director; Rhyne will serve as legislative assistant for health and education; Roberts will serve as general counsel; and Zarate will serve as a senior foreign policy adviser.

JASON ROSENBERG AND JAMES HEAVENER have been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the University of Florida Board of Trustees. Rosenberg, of Gainesville, is a plastic surgeon with The Orthopaedic Institute. Heavener, of Winter Park, is chief executive officer and president of Heavener Company and chief executive officer and co-chairman of Full Sail University.

STUART KAPLAN AND LUCILLE TURNER have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Optometry. Kaplan, of Fort Myers, is an optometrist at Tyson Eye of Cape Coral Eye Center. Turner, of Tallahassee, is a retired attorney.
