MARIA SACHS has been named executive director of the non-profit organization Innovation Florida. Sachs, an attorney, is a former Democratic member of the Florida Senate and the Florida House.

PAUL FLEMMING has been named public information officer for the Florida Office of State Courts Administrator. Flemming most recently worked as communications director in the state House Democratic Office.

VICTORIA DEL PINO has been named by Gov. Rick Scott as a judge in the 11th Judicial Circuit in Miami-Dade County. Del Pino, of Coral Gables, has served since 2007 as an associate administrative judge for Miami-Dade County court.

SHERRI L. COLLINS has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as a Palm Beach County judge. Collins, of Loxahatchee, has served since 2004 as an assistant state attorney in the 15th Judicial Circuit.

JIM MCCARTHY AND FRANK GUMMEY have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Environmental Regulation Commission. McCarthy, of Ponte Verde Beach, is executive director of the North Florida Land Trust. Gummey, of Daytona Beach Shores, is city attorney for New Smyrna Beach. 

BEV CAPASSO has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the North Broward Hospital District Board of Commissioners. Capasso, of Parkland, is a former senior vice president and chief executive officer of Jackson Memorial Hospital.

ANGELA STARKE has been named communications coordinator in the Orlando and Tampa Bay regions for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Starke most recently worked as public information officer for State Attorney Jeff Ashton.

DAVID SKUP, JESUS SOCORRO AND MINDY RANKIN have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Accountancy. Skup, of Plantation, is chief financial officer for Guarantee Insurance Company. Socorro, of Miami, is managing principle of risk advisory services for Morrison, Brown, Argiz and Farra, LLC. Rankin, of Lynn Haven, is a certified public accountant for Warren Averett, LLC. 

JANET RABIN, FRAN ORETO AND CHRISTY CONOLLY have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Real Estate Appraisal Board. Rabin, of Fort Myers, is an appraisal analyst for DiTech Financial. Oreto, of Hudson, is a staff appraiser for Title Source, Inc. Conolly, of Palm Harbor, is senior vice president of quality control and compliance for Nationwide Appraisal Network, Inc.

CHRIS JERNIGAN has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Campbellton-Graceville Hospital Corporation. Jernigan, of Graceville, is president and chief operating officer of Arnold Lumber Company.

JOHNNY THORNTON AND WILLIE RICHARDSON have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Indian River County Housing Authority. Thornton, of Vero Beach, is director of alternative education for the St. Lucie County schools. Richardson, of Vero Beach, is a pastor at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. 

JOSEPH TRIOLO AND MICHAEL GUJU have been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Pinellas County Housing Authority. Triolo, of St. Petersburg, is a program manager for Duke Energy. Guju, of Palm Harbor, is president of Guju Law Firm and Equity National Title.
