EVAN JENNE, CYNTHIA STAFFORD, LORI BERMAN, JOSEPH ABRUZZO, JOHN CORTES, KATIE EDWARDS, SHEVRIN JONES AND RICHARD STARK have been named by House Minority Leader Janet Cruz, D-Tampa, to her leadership team. Jenne, D-Dania Beach, and Stafford, D-Miami, will serve as policy chairs. Berman, D-Lantana, will serve as floor leader. Abruzzo, D-Boynton Beach, will serve as whip. Cortes, D-Kissimmee, Edwards, D-Plantation, Jones, D-West Park, and Stark, D-Weston, will serve as deputy whips.

CARLOS LOPEZ-CANTERA has been named co-chair for policy of the Republican Lieutenant Governors Association. Lopez-Cantera is the Florida lieutenant governor and formerly served in the state House.

LAURALEE G. WESTINE has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as a judge in the 6th Judicial Circuit, which includes Pasco and Pinellas counties. Westine, of Palm Harbor, has been in private practice since 2000 and previously served as an assistant state attorney.

ANDERS CROY AND MAX FLUGRATH have been named to positions with the House Democratic Caucus. Croy is the new communications director, while Flugrath is deputy communications director.

NATHAN EDWARDS has been named director of communications at Enterprise Florida. Edwards has worked in the Executive Office of the Governor.

ERIN MOFFET has been named communications director for Congressman-elect Charlie Crist, D-Fla. Moffet has served as communications director for Congressman Patrick Murphy, D-Fla.

LORI GREEN has been named district director for Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla. Green, of Cooper City, has served on the Board of Directors and as president of the David Posnack Jewish Community Center. 

GAYLE HARRELL has been re-elected chair of international outreach on the Board of Directors of the National Foundation for Women Legislators. Harrell, a Stuart Republican, represents District 83 in the Florida House.

CHUCK O'NEAL has been appointed to the state board of directors of the League of Women Voters of Florida. O'Neal is president of a residential investment company.

FOROUGH HOSSEINI, BETTY HOLNESS, STANLEY ESCUDERO AND LLOYD FRECKLETON have been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Daytona State College Board of Trustees. Hosseini, of Ormond Beach, is senior vice president of ICI Homes, Inc. Holness, of Ormond Beach, formerly served as assistant to the county manager of Volusia County. Escudero, of Daytona Beach, is president of Shield Bearer, LLC and formerly served as the U.S. ambassador to the Republics of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. Freckleton, of Flagler Beach, is a retired U.S. Army colonel and former warden for the New York State Department of Corrections. 

PETER CROCITTO has been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Commission for Independent Education. Crocitto, of Palm City, is executive vice chancellor and chief operations officer of Keiser University and vice president of Southeastern College. 

CHERYL PHIPPS AND VINCENT OATIS have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Pilot Commissioners. Phipps, of Fort Lauderdale, is a harbor pilot captain for the Port Everglades Pilots Association. Oatis, of Apopka, is director of Grant Thornton, LLP.
