RALPH J. NOBO, JR., has been installed as president of the Florida Medical Association. Nobo is an obstetrician/gynecologist in private practice in Bartow.

TAMI TORRES-FILLYAW has been named vice president of marketing and communications for Wilson & Associates LLC, a Tallahassee-based lobbying and association management firm. She has worked for three state chief financial officers, including serving as deputy chief financial officer under Florida CFO Jeff Atwater.

NICHOLE GEARY has been appointed general counsel of the Florida Department of Health. Geary has worked as an associate at Broad and Cassel in West Palm Beach and previously was an associate at Rumberger, Kirk and Caldwell.

STANLEY M. WESTON has been elected chairman of the Florida Commission on Ethics. Weston, of Jacksonville, is a partner in the law firm of Moseley, Prichard, Parrish, Knight & Jones.

JOSEPH CONTE AND BILL YEARGIN have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the University of Central Florida Board of Trustees. Conte, of Winter Park, is president and chief executive officer of Consulate Health Care. Yeargin, of Chuluota, is president and chief executive officer of Correct Craft Inc.

AEDAN DOWLING, VERNON "VC" HOLLINGSWORTH AND JAMES "JIM" HORRISBERGER have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Citrus Commission. Dowling, of Bradenton, is senior director of global fruit procurement for Tropicana Products. Hollingsworth, of Arcadia, is the manager of citrus and cattle operation for VCH Citrus LLC. Horrisberger, of Lakeland, is the North American fruits and juices procurement manager for The Coca Cola Company.

TED EVERETT has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Northwest Florida Water Management District. Everett, of Chipley, is executive director of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce and owner and operator of Hard Labor Creek Hunting Plantation and Hard Labor Creek Off Road Park.

SAM ACCURSIO has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the South Florida Water Management District. Accursio, of Homestead, is the owner of Sam S. Accursio & Sons Farms.

PETER BOS, JAMES "JIM" ANDERS AND JAMES "CAREY" SCOTT have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Northwest Florida Transportation Corridor Authority. Bos, of Destin, is chairman and chief executive officer of Legendary LLC. Anders, of Seacrest, is owner of Anders Real Estate and Timber Co Inc. Scott, of Panama City, is a restaurateur.

ROBERT CARLTON has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Concrete Masonry Education Council. Carlton, of St. Augustine, is general manager of Carlton Walker Masonry Inc.

ELENA PEREZ has been appointed by Surgeon General John Armstrong to the Florida Genetics and Newborn Screening Advisory Council. Perez, a physician, is an associate professor and the chief of pediatric allergy and immunology at the University Of Miami School of Medicine.

ROBERT WATKINS has been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority. Watkins, of Tampa, is a certified public accountant and president of Robert Watkins and Company P.A.

MARY GARCIA has been elected president of the Healthy Start Coalition of Miami-Dade Board of Directors. Garcia is vice president of compliance for Sunshine Health, a subsidiary of Centene Corp.
