MATTHEW UBBEN has been appointed executive director of the Florida Transportation Commission. Ubben most recently has served as president of the Floridians for Better Transportation.

SALLY PATRENOS has been named president of the Floridians for Better Transportation. Patrenos, of Tallahassee, is the founder of Patrenos & Associates LLC, an advocacy, media relations and governmental affairs firm.

HILARIE BASS has moved into the role of president-elect of the American Bar Association. Bass, who will become president in August 2017, is based in Miami and serves as co-president and a member of the executive committee of the law firm Greenberg Traurig.

JEFFREY E. LEWIS has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as a judge in the 1st Judicial Circuit, which includes Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton counties. Lewis, of Pensacola, has served as regional conflict counsel for the 1st District Court of Appeal region since 2007.

KYMBERLEE CURRY SMITH, BARBRA STERN AND J. ALEX KELLY have been appointed or reappointed to the Florida Elections Commission. Smith, of Cooper City, is an attorney at Kymberlee Curry Smith, P.A. Stern, of Fort Lauderdale, is an attorney at the Dwyer Law Group. Kelly, of Tallahassee, is vice president of advocacy at the Foundation for Excellence in Education. 

CINDY "BETH" MOORE, DONTE MICKENS AND MICHAEL WISEMAN have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Rehabilitation Council. Moore, of Tallahassee, is a senior educational program director at the Florida Department of Education. Mickens, of Delray Beach, is a financial consultant with the National Council on Compensation Insurance. Wiseman, of Hialeah, is a senior job developer with Work Force Solutions of South Florida

TED FEASTER has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Construction Industry Licensing Board. Feaster, of Ocala, is president of Feasterco Construction, Inc.

CAYLEE BANTA has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Occupational Therapy. Banta, of Rockledge, is a doctor of occupational therapy at Child and Family Consultants, Inc.

WILLIAMS AND CHRISTINE L. YERKES have been appointed by Department of Management Services Secretary Chad Poppell to the Florida Advisory Council on Small and Minority Business Development. Andrewin is director of the Office of Diversity in Business Practices for the Palm Beach County School District. Halliburton is president and CEO of Manatee County Federal Credit Union. Harris-Lange is president of National Women Business Owners Corporation. Helms is founder and CEO of Lumbee Resource Management Group. Gonzalez Loumiet is CEO of Uber Operations. Lugaro is director of sales enablement for United Data Technologies. Rosa Pagan is owner of Re/Max Premier Associates/ The Steven Rosa Group, LLC. Roldan is a senior partner of Allgen Financial Services. Thompson is president of Deborah K. Thompson Consultants. Williams is an attorney with Martin|Hild, P.A. Yerkes is president and CEO of Yerkes South, Inc.

SUSAN MULLICAN has been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Governor's Mansion Commission. Mullican, of Naples, is a community volunteer and has served on the Governor's Mansion Commission since 2011.

HORACIO S. AGUIRRE, PATRICIA HARRIS AND LUIS GARCIA have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Miami River Commission Policy Committee. Aguirre, of Miami, is president and principal of H.S. Aguirre & Associates, Inc. Harris, of West Miami, is a former legal assistant. Garcia, of Miami, is owner and operator of Garcia's Seafood Grill and Fish Market.
