DARLENE JORDAN has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Governors of the State University System. Jordan, of Palm Beach, is executive director of the Gerald R. Jordan Foundation.

MAXIMO ALVAREZ, EMILY "JUNE" DUDA AND JOSEPH GRUTERS have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida State University Board of Trustees. Alvarez, of Doral, is founder and president of Sunshine Gasoline Distributors Inc. Duda, of Oviedo, is a member of the Seminole Boosters. Gruters, of Sarasota, is owner of Gruters CPA. 

CRAIG BARKER, ROBERT CHEDISTER, WILLIAM "JEFF" FLOYD AND MICHAEL FLYNT have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Northwest Florida State College District Board of Trustees. Barker, of Destin, is president of Wellscripts Inc. Chedister, of Laurel Hill, is chief technical officer at the Doolittle Institute and previously served as a major general in the U.S. Air Force. Floyd, of Freeport, is a consulting architect with DAG Architects. Flynt, of Miramar Beach, is a retired independent contractor.
 
ALISA LAPOLT has been named executive director of the National Association on Mental Illness Florida. LaPolt has worked as a lobbyist on health-care issues and previously was a newspaper reporter.

VANCE ALOUPIS has been promoted to CEO of The Children's Movement of Florida. Aloupis has been state director of the Children's Movement for the past four years. 

NELSON DIAZ, DIANA RAGBEER, TANYA WILKINS AND SANDY KARLAN have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Children and Youth Cabinet. Diaz, of Miami, is immediate past president and a current board member of Kristi House Child Advocacy Center. Ragbeer, of Miami, is director of public policy and community engagement for The Children's Trust. Wilkins, of Tallahassee, is co-founder of LifeConnectors. Karlan, of Miami, is a retired administrative judge for the 11th Circuit Court Family Division.

BRIDGET BELLINGAR AND ALICJA JANSON have been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Osteopathic Medicine. Bellingar, of Largo, has been a self-employed osteopathic physician since 1987. Janson, of Sarasota, is a retired medical technologist.

HARVEY SCHWARTZ, THOMAS BUCKLEY, JAMIE GLAVICH AND PEGGY CONNELLY have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Alzheimer's Disease Advisory Committee. Schwartz, of Fort Lauderdale, is a neurologist and a medical director for Sunrise Medical Group. Buckley, of Fort Lauderdale, is executive director for Lucanus Center Dementia Center. Glavich, of Jacksonville, is owner of Almost Home Senior Services. Connelly, of Vero Beach, is national director of memory care for Harbor Retirement Associates.

PAULINE LOWE AND BRIDGET JENNINGS have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Diabetes Advisory Council. Lowe, of Winter Springs, is regional director for community health strategies for the American Diabetes Association. Jennings, of Orange Park, is an RN certified diabetes educator with Florida Blue.

CHRISTIE PONTIS has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the E911 Board. Pontis, of Tallahassee, is a regional legislative affairs manager with CenturyLink.

RONALD MITCHELL AND CRAIG BROEKER have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Respiratory Care. Mitchell, of Land O' Lakes, is cardiopulmonary director for Bayfront Health Brooksville Hospital. Broeker, of Sanford, is a quality improvement clinical auditor with Florida Hospital.

JOHN "SKIP" FORSYTH, SAMANTHA WASS DE CZEGE, ERIN HOUGH, JUDITH LEVIN, BETTY JO PATE, SARA EVANS, LILLI COPP, ELIZABETH CAYSON AND MISTY PORTER have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Interagency Coordinating Council for Infants and Toddlers. Forsyth, of Tallahassee, is director of the homeless education program for the Florida Department of Education. Wass de Czege, of Tallahassee, is a child care director for the Florida Department of Children and Families. Hough, of Monticello, is an operations review specialist for the Florida Department of Children and Families. Levin, of Maitland, is a lecturer and undergraduate coordinator for the early childhood development and education program for the University of Central Florida. Pate, of Crawfordville, is a financial administrator and deputy director of life and health forms for the Office of Insurance Regulation. Evans, of Pensacola, is an assistant professor in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of West Florida. Copp, of Tallahassee, is director of the head start collaboration office for the University of North Florida. Cayson, of Loxahatchee, is a government relations specialist with the Health Care District of Palm Beach County. Porter, of St. Augustine, is a parent liaison for the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind.
