ALLISON "ALLI" LIBY-SCHOONOVER has joined the lobbying and law firm of Metz, Husband & Daughton. Liby-Schoonover was a legislative analyst in the Senate Majority Office before joining the firm.

WES STRICKLAND has joined Colodny, Fass Talenfeld, Karlinsky, Abate & Webb as a partner. Strickland will head the firm's insurance regulatory practice in Tallahassee.

CASSANDRA G. PASLEY has been named director of Children's Medical Services at the Florida Department of Health. Pasley has served the past nine years as chief of the Bureau of Health Care Practitioner Regulation in the Division of Medical Quality Assurance.

LESTER BASS has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott as a Duval County judge. Bass, of Jacksonville has been a general magistrate and hearing officer in the 4th Judicial Circuit since 2003.

LAIRD A. LILE, KRISTIE HATCHER-BOLIN AND ROBERT BIASOTTI have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Second District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission. Lile,of Naples, is a sole practitioner practicing wills, trust and estate law. Hatcher-Bolin, of Winter Haven, is an attorney with GrayRobinson PA. Biasotti, of St. Petersburg, is an attorney with Biasotti and Associates.

JEFFREY KUNTZ, F. MALCOLM CUNNINGHAM JR., AND WILLIAM SHEPHERD have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Fifteenth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Kuntz, of Boca Raton, is an attorney with GrayRobinson PA. Cunningham, of West Palm Beach, is an attorney with The Cunningham Law Firm PA. Shepherd, of Palm Beach Gardens, is a partner with Holland and Knight LLP.

ROBIN PERRY has been selected as chairman of the Florida Child Abuse Death Review Committee. Perry is an associate professor of social work at Florida A&M University.

JULIET CHURCH, JEFFREY CAINE, DONNA DRAKE, CHRISTOPHER LITTLEWOOD AND CINDY SIMON have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Coordinating Council for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Church, of Dunedin, is executive director of the Family Center on Deafness. Caine, of Safety Harbor, is a hearing aid specialist with Zound’s Hearing. Drake, of St. Augustine, is a retired state employee. Littlewood, of Seminole, is an instructional technology coordinator for St. Petersburg College. Simon, of South Miami, is a licensed audiologist with South Miami Audiology Consultants Inc.

SERGIO GUERREIRO, FREDERICK RAHE, KRISTEN RUTLAND AND PETER JOHNSON have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. Guerreiro, of Wellington, is director of clinical operations for the Department of Otolaryngology in the Division of Audiology at the University of Miami School of Medicine. Rahe, of Margate, is owner of West-Med Hearing & Balance Center. Rutland, of Palm Harbor, is a speech language pathologist for the Pinellas County schools. Johnson, of Largo, is a speech language pathologist for Select Medical.

BRIAN RAMOS has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Pilot Commissioners. Ramos, of Tallahassee, is chief marketing officer of The Pod Advertising.

RICK WASSEL has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Institute for the Commercialization of Public Research Board of Directors. Wassel, of Orlando, is executive director and general manager of the Florida Hospital Health Village and International Development and managing director of IQ Orlando.

COURTNEY D. HEIDELBERG, JOSEPH O'CONOR AND JAMES SAMPEY have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida is For Veterans Inc Board of Directors. Heidelberg, of Tallahassee, is director of accounts for On 3 Public Relations. O’Conor, of Atlantic Beach, is general manager for General Dynamics NASSCO Mayport and is a retired Navy captain. Sampey, of Indian Rocks Beach, is a retired president and chief operating officer of Valpak.

MARTIN HINDSLEY, BRIAN NEMEROFF AND BRYAN O'MALLEY have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Brevard County Housing Authority. Hindsley, of Satellite Beach, is a retired director of retail marketing for the NCR Corporation. Nemeroff, of West Melbourne, is a certified public accountant with Berman Hopkins Wright and LaHam CPAs. O’Malley, of Melbourne, is a former teacher with the Brevard County schools.
