Legislature:

FINAL DAY OF THE 2017 SESSION: The House and Senate will meet at 1 p.m. in their chambers to consider a state budget for the fiscal year that starts July 1. They also will take up a series of budget-related bills. After finishing the work, they are expected to adjourn sine die.

UTILITY RATES AT ISSUE: The Florida Public Service Commission will hold a customer-service hearing and a technical hearing, as it considers a request by Utilities Inc. of Florida for consolidated rates. The company provides water and wastewater service to 27 systems in 10 counties. (Customer hearing at 9:30 a.m., technical hearing at 1:30 p.m., Betty Easley Conference Center, 4075 Esplanade Way, Tallahassee.)

FRANKEL CRITICIZES GOP ON HEALTH CARE: U.S. Rep. Lois Frankel, D-Fla., will hold a news conference to criticize a health-care plan approved last week by U.S. House Republicans. (10 a.m., parking lot across from St. Mary's Medical Center, between 45th Street and Greenwood Avenue, West Palm Beach.)

LABARGA SPEAKS AT LAW DAY EVENT: Florida Supreme Court Chief Justice Jorge Labarga will provide a keynote address during a Law Day event hosted by Legal Services of North Florida, the Legal Aid Foundation of the Tallahassee Bar Association and the Florida State University College of Law. (5 p.m., Florida State University, Turnbull Conference Center, 555 West Pensacola St., Tallahassee.)

SCOTT AT VENEZUELA EVENT: Gov. Rick Scott will host a “freedom rally” for Venezuela. (6 p.m., El Arepazo 2, 3900 N.W. 79th Ave., Miami.)
