Law firm co-founder Poliakoff dies

Gary A. Poliakoff, co-founder of the law firm Becker & Poliakoff and an authority on condominium- and homeowners-association law, has died. He was 69. A funeral service was scheduled for noon Monday at Temple Sinai North Dade, according to information posted on the firm's website. Poliakoff, who died Friday, served as managing shareholder of the firm from its founding in 1973 until 2008. Attorneys in the firm lobby in Tallahassee for a wide range of clients, including numerous local governments in South Florida.
