BOGDANOFF COLLECTS ANOTHER $23K

By News Service Florida

Trying to close a fundraising gap, former Sen. Ellyn Bogdanoff, R-Fort Lauderdale, collected $23,250 in contributions from July 19 to July 25 in her closely watched election rematch against Sen. Maria Sachs, D-Delray Beach. Bogdanoff, who opened a campaign account June 12 for the Senate District 34 race, had raised $147,645 as of July 25, according to a newly filed finance report. The latest numbers for Sachs had not been posted on the state Division of Elections website early Thursday afternoon, but the incumbent Democrat had raised $217,560 as of July 18. Sachs defeated Bogdanoff in 2012 in perhaps the most fiercely contested legislative race in the state. District 34 includes parts of Broward and Palm Beach counties.
