Ray Kurzweil, a Director of Engineering at Google,

2014 Sayfie Review Florida Leaders Summit

The 2014 Sayfie Review Florida Leaders Summit is honored to announce that Ray Kurzweil, a Director of Engineering for Google, will be a keynote speaker at this year’s Summit.

Ray Kurzweil is one of the world’s leading inventors, thinkers, and futurists, with a thirty-year track record of accurate predictions.  He has written five national best-selling books, including New York Times bestsellers The Singularity Is Near (2005) and How to Create a Mind (2012).

Kurzweil was the principal inventor of the first CCD flat-bed scanner, the first omni-font optical character recognition, the first to print-to-speech reading machine for the blind, the first text-to-speech synthesizer, the first music synthesizer capable of recreating the grand piano and other orchestral instruments, and the first commercially marketed large-vocabulary speech recognition.

The Sayfie Review Summit is an invitation-only, non-partisan event for Florida's top leaders, modeled after the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

The 2014 Summit is being held after the November elections to give Florida's leaders an opportunity to convene with each other in a unique, post-election, pre-inauguration venue.

In October, individually-selected leaders from around Florida will receive a printed invitation in the mail with the agenda and location details for the Summit.

The Summit’s mission is “Engaging Florida’s Leaders, Shaping Florida’s Agenda, Prospering Florida’s Future."
